you may no longer "study" the bass with no need one. a number of those solutions attempt to describe procedures to get your guitar to sound greater like a bass. yet that's no longer what you're asking. you opt to verify the thank you to play bass, no longer the thank you to make your guitar sound like a bass. The bass guitar is a very distinctive tool than the guitar. The strings are plenty thicker, the necks are longer, the frets are farther aside. The strings of a bass guitar are tuned one octave under a guitar. you may't music the strings of a guitar that low without them sounding all "floppy". The technique used to play the bass is distinctive than the guitar additionally. on the guitar we use the very suggestions of our hands yet on the bass we use greater of the fleshy face of the finger. We truthfully have a tendency to apply a p.c.. on the guitar although if it quite is greater difficulty-unfastened for a bass to be performed with the hands. you have a chum who does not use his bass that usually, who might help borrow it. or perhaps you may commerce your electric powered quickly. Regardless, you will could desire to have a bass to verify the thank you to play it acceptable. I coach the two contraptions

Tuning it down is no problem, as that puts less tension on the neck. Tuning it up higher than normal can put the neck at risk and can break strings. I keep my bass tuned BEAD, which is really low, but it's cool, like a 5 string without the extra string.

except you have it wrong. It's EADG for a standard four string bass guitar.
