The first answer you got is correct. Not only will your skin produce MORE oil than usual, there are still ways that that oil can create blemishes and not get dried up by alcohol.

People will oily skin have pimples just like everyone else with pimples.

I have NATURALLY dry skin on my face and I still have breakouts.

Plus, if you were to put straight alcohol on your face, you would just be destroying skin itself. Your face will be itchy and your skin will flake.

If you are going to put anything on your face, make it a face cleanser.

Good luck!

Dry skin doesn't "cause" less anything.
Pimples are caused by excess oil and dirt on the skin, clean it.
Applying alcohol helps remove the oil and dirt, preventing pimples. Use carefully to avoid over dryness which can lead to more pimples or flakiness.
Just wash you face, gently, with a basic soap, not something with all sorts of perfumes and lotions in it. The purpose of soap is to cut through oils on the skin to aid in cleansing. Why use soap with oil in it?

Bad idea. If you use alcohol continously on your face you will have more problems. See a dermatologist if you have a bad acne problem. If not, look for some over the counter products that help with acne and a skin cleanser. My dermatologist recommends cetaphil facial products. They make a facial cleanser, moisturizer and other products. They are resonably priced and can be purchased at walmart and most drug stores. Good luck.

nope, dry skin cause muuuuuch more pimples.
okay I had a mild acne, my skin wasn't oily, it was just okay.. but I had to use this regimen which dried my skin a lot and when I had to stop it, my skin got so embarrassingly oily and I had the worst breakout ever!
yes, as someone above said- dry skin will cause your body produce even more oil, excessively.

Oiler skin will naturally have more acne breakouts. However using straight alcohol is too drying for your skin. You would be better off going to Wal Mart and purchasing an astringent made for oil skin.

nope. when your skin gets dry, your body produces even more oil for the skin, which can actually cause more pimples.
you have to keep your skin healthy and moisturized.

I dont think so. If your face is dry that will be horrible. You always need to keep your face mostorized. Your face will be clearer if you keep it mostorized and healthy, not dry. Whoever told you that was full of it!!!
