No, you'll need a Class 1 Commercial Drivers License (CDL) to drive the truck and a Class 1 CDL with a Passenger Bus Endorsement to drive the bus. If you want to haul HAZ-MAT you'll need an endorsement for that too. Also, you'll need a current Class 1 physical examination.

You dont say whether you will be living there or just on holliday. In any event ,just check with the nearest US Embassy. You used to have to be in the teamsters union to even get a job,but things may have changed now.If you are going there to live ,you can exchange your UK TRUCK AND BUS LICENCES for the US equivalent the same as Europe does.

Each individual state issues it's own licence and have it's own residency requrements. The other states will recognize that license, especially if it is the type of license used in interstate commerce. (there are federal standards for these requirements.)
It is doubtful if your UK licenses and endorsements will allow you to work in the US. Only recently have, even, Mexican truck drivers been allowed to drive truck on US highways
