I was walking him outside and we passed an inflatable NOEL. and he keep backing away from it.

duke... just seems like an insecure dog.. other than being with u..
not sure what he has been thru
but perhaps.. he is just not used to things..

Dogs are very aware of their surroundings. Inflatables are normally bigger then pets, humans, etc. It probably scared him or maybe suprised him. Donb't worry many other dogs are like this. Just let him be, don't force him to go near them.

My dogs did that, too....I think it was the whirring motor that got their attention...it's always running to keep the thing inflated. Then again, my dogs played with a stone statute of a german shepard, so it might just be that they aren't that bright. :)

Mine is terrified of balloons. An inflatable would probably cause a heart attack. Fortunately none on our walk route, at least during daytime.

Allot of dogs are iffy on those. My dog just barks at them, then runs and sniffs then runs away. It could be the noise from the air being blown into it, or that they are much larger then dog's.

My dog does the same thing, except she barks at it too.
