Yeah.
I do it so often, I'm not even sure I'm lying. However, I would never lie to hurt him.

PEOPLE lie...both males and females. It's wrong no matter who does it. I don't understand some people's desire to convince themselves one sex or the other lies more...it doesn't matter which does it more (if one does), but that it's a crummy thing to do, and really causes issues with trust.

People lie because of insecurities and low self esteem...they lie to get or keep themselves out of trouble...they lie in an attempt to flatter others (or not hurt feelings)...they lie to further their career or get what they want...and the list goes on.

Are women better liars? It's an individual thing, not a sex thing. People who lie well tend to have little or no conscience and a good poker face. Do women lie more? Until someone takes a poll of at least 51% of all men and all women, we can't know who lies more (and of course, people taking the poll might be lying).

Women say that men lie more then them, because men lie to them more than other women do. That's because men tend to need something from the opposite sex. And the share of uninterested communication is lower. The same is true in the opposite direction, women lie more to men, in men's opinion.

In my family, my dad and one of my brothers lied all the time about anything and everything. My mom lied to keep from hurting someone's feelings. My other brother almost never lies and if he does, it's to not hurt someone's feelings. I rarely lie, but when I do, it's either to cover my *ss or to not hurt someone's feelings. In my experience, men lie to make themselves look better or to get out of trouble. Women lie to not hurt someone's feelings or get out of trouble. The best liars I've ever met were men. Everyone's experience is different.

I think we all lie the same amount, for different reasons, and I think that "being a good liar" extends to both genders (though I think men might be better at it, do to lacking emotion like women do)

I'm a woman and I can admit that women lie more than men. We do the white lies and lie to protect peoples feelings. I have found that when a man lies it's to protect themselves. My husband always sets it straight and tells me the truth whether I want to hear it or not. I have lied to him before to protect his feelings when I didn't want him to know how I really felt about him at the time.

Yes... and women get away with it to because women are better at acting descreet and things like that... it's a sad shame... but it's not a women men battle! Humans are just liars in general!

Women don't always say that; I've never said that. Some people are good liars, others are not. It doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman; you could be good or bad at it.

I never lie, the truth is hard enough to remember. Although I realize most men do. Women on the other hand are great at lieing.

Maybe about things to make themselves look better (white lies) to protect their vanity, but I think men cheat more often and that's the most toxic lie in a relationship.
