Are there any laws in Georgia that limit the sell of Nyquil? We sell OTC medicine where I work and we had a guy come in and try to buy 6 bottles. I know about the pseudofed laws but am not sure about any with NyQuil. Where can I go look on internet to find out? Our local cops will not be any help, they are too lazy to do anything. Thanks!

If he is purchasing Nyquil with pseudoephdrine he may be attempting to extract the pseudoephdrine to convert it to an illegal drug.

NyQuil D is available in syrup form only. It contains pseudoephedrine, a decongestant, and is available behind the pharmacy counter.

NyQuil D has the following active ingredients:

Acetaminophen
Dextromethorphan
Doxylamine succinate
Pseudoephedrine

My suggestion is you talk to your store supervisor and explain your concerns to the supervisor and if they don't take notice of your concerns contact the next supervisor in line.

You can also contact your local drug enforcement office with the local or state police.

Possession of ephedrine is legal, but sales of large quantities are monitored and many states heavily regulate the forms and methods in which it is sold.

There are criminal penalties for non compliance of sales limits exceeding the maximum amount an individual can buy per any 30 day period.

There is more information available through the Federal Ephedrine laws or the website below.

There is no limit on the amount of Nyquil a person can legally buy.
Nyquil is popular with those who abuse drugs because of two of its main ingredients: dyphenhydramine hydrochloride and alcohol. Neither of these ingredients are restricted by the FDA in this quantity.
There is also no law requiring you to sell this or any product to anyone whom you suspect may be abusing it.

Call a pharmacy. I'm sure that they are up to date on the limits. But, if you work for a store that sells items that are on this list, I think that you would have been notified by the manufacturer.
