Every time I get my hair cut, the barber or even if I cut my own hair with a buzzer will take the guard off to go over the back of my neck. I always get these hard painful bumps that won't even pop. I'll also get them kind of towards the back of my scalp too. Do any barbers or in general anyone know either a)how to prevent these or b) what these are? I use a spray disenfectact everytime before I use my buzzer, and the barber always has her combs and clips sanitized or sprayed before use as well.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people respond to these without reading them thoroughly. I said back of neck, which you use a buzzer for, NOT a razor which would be for the FRONT of your neck, which is NOT my problem in this case.

I put this question in my SAVE list, because I have the same problem and was hoping for an answer also.
We'll wait and see.

maybe you are allergic to the sanitizer.... wash the back of your neck well with soap and water... dry it well and brush with baby powder.... at night, rub on some neosporin before bed, when you wake up, wash it off and repeat the baby powder and at night the neosporin until its gone.
i am sorry dude... i thought i was answering accordingly... i am a hairdresser and some clients are allergic to the sanitizer solution and the backs of their necks do break out... i thought i was helping you, sorry!!

Sounds like razor burn. Your skin is just irritated...use shaving cream.
