everyone she loves her little sister. She has always been jealous of me. Family says that we have hated each other for 555 years. I am 54! I am thinking about not talking to anyone in the family anymore and just let her have it. She makes it too hard for me.

I have a younger sister who behaves in quite the same way and it effects the entire family. Basically how we handle it as a family and to keep the peace, we all practice our etiquette when she's around, don't encourage her or join in on her tirades against other family members. She pretty knows she's not well liked, but that hasn't slowed her down any. She's just an unhappy person and this is what she does to make herself feel better.

Wow...it's been like..54 years, can't you guys make the peace? Talk to her about it..and tell her how you feel. It's too late in life to get upset over absolutely nothing.

Your sister never grew up. If she is aggressive, you can calmly state that she is acting out like a child.
All you can do is call her down on her B.S.
You can also get up in her grille and let her know that you are not going to give way.

You two are too grown to be playin these games. IGNORE HER! You're family should know you by now and if they want to judge you on what she says then let them do it.
If you don't want to take that way... the suttle way, then get loud in her face. And tell her to leave you alone or you will leave them ALL alone.
That's my thought. You are too far in life to be dealing with that. I'm too far in life to be dealin with BS like that and I'm 23. :)

she is jealous and she is putting you down to make herself feel better.. She has low self esteem so to feel better about herself she puts someone else down in this case you . You need to confront her and tell her to back the hell off and get an grip and to stop hatin on you and that you had enough

whenever she says something wrong..ask her - in front of everyone - why do you continually try and put me down.
She is obviously jealous of you. I don't think it would be healthy to separate yourself from your family.... they are a part of you too.
Be the mature one and ignore her. Live your life to your standards! =]
