I'm a 23 year old woman and I don't do the hair, make-up, purse and shoe thing. I mean I dress nicely, not too provocative, and I make myself up to look good everyday, so I'm not a social slob. But, I like playing HALO and building fires with my husband. I like to play Texas Hold 'Em and wrestle around on the floor. I'm just an iddy-biddy thing and people expect me to be weak and girly but I prefer the rough and tumble ways that men play when they hang out. Am I a weird female or are there others out there like me?

I am 23 and I don't think you're weird. I can do the make up, purse, and shoe things, but only in small doses. While I don't go around looking like a frump, I don't prefer to spend lots of time and money on my appearance when it could be invested in better things. I'm also more of a rough and tumble type, even though I look like a petite little girl. I don't really like gaming culture and cards, but I do enjoy play wrestling with the guys, so I can relate to you on some level.
Consequently, I don't think you need to worry about your personality. You should do the things you enjoy without being concerned about what other people think. You don't have to be hyperfeminine to be a fun, attractive girl. I'm sure that people appreciate the fact that you aren't afraid to get dirty. At the very least, it means that you and your husband have a wide range of activities to enjoy together; you don't have to go shopping while he plays video games.

I am 25-years-old and I am totally the same way, except for the purse and shoes thing (I Love purses and shoes) but I would rather throw on a pair of torn up jeans and a band t-shirt and go out with the boys.
Enjoy what makes you happy! It is your life after all, no matter what people say or do to try to make you doubt yourself.
Oh and HALO kicks serious ***! I would love to be able to play with another girl instead of always getting my *** kicked by the boys!

There's many people out there exactly like that. I'm also not 'girly' . I also play Halo because it's a great game. From my prospective you aren't weird. Even though you are 23, you have your own tastes in hobbies. Don't let anyone tell you that you are weird because of your tastes. A lot of people think that girls are weak and expect men to do things for them, but we can be equal.

I am exactly like you. I hate going to the malls to hang out with my friends, I'd rather hang out with my brothers or work on my farm lol, I don't mind getting dirty (that sounds weird lol). I don't wear make up either and I wear what's comfortable not fashionable but some how manage to look decent. I play XBOX al the time and love Halo (haven't played it in awhile so I'm still rusty, too much homework) and I'm a sports freak. I love to play all sports all the time, no matter the season. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one like this lol Glad to be me =D

No, you are not weird. To each his own, as they say. We are all different, and that is what makes us all unique.
I am not a "girlie girl" either, but I do wear make-up, carry a purse, etc. But, I don't HAVE to before I go somewhere. I have friends that would not be caught dead without their hair fixed and make up on. I have always been kind of a tom-boy myself.

You are perfectly normal. Chill out and don't let society tell you what you should be! Just because you don't like to play with your face doesn't mean anything is wrong with you. Enjoy being the woman you are. I'm sure it is those aspects that make your husband love you.

nope your not weird... I'm the same way... games and playing rough are way more fun than a purse or $300 shoes... id prefer to be doing exactly what u described than shopping or anything extremely girly... i just think its different from girl to girl...

I understand what you mean... I don't do the whole makeup .. hair .. thing either.
And I was raised with guys so I feel more comfortable with them and sometimes girls can be so quirky.
