Is it true that the higher the Mega Pixel in a camera the better or clear the picture will come out?

Not necessarily. If you're planning on printing a lot of poster size (and i mean BIG 14" or better), then yes it's nice to have a higher MP camera. But if you're primarily going to use your camera for 4 x 6" or even 8 x 10" prints, 2 to 3 MP is more than fine. Really, you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference. I have quite a few cameras, and I still like and use my older lower MP cameras quite a bit for photos that I intend to print.

That is generally true, however, if the lenses are garbage, the picture will suffer.
