As for the line, I wouldn't bother. It's typically understood in a monogamous relationship that neither party wants their partner to have sex with others (much less making love). It's somewhat corny, and to be honest having sex sometimes is preferable to making love (even with someone you love).

If the subject is on that specific topic then it is ok to talk about it but don't just randomly bring it up. That would frighten them (maybe, depends on the girl) Its ok to talk about that stuff that includes like, conversations about the relationship, having kids, ect. It is fine to say that.
