He got more of Mary's physique DNA; that's the major difference between him and Hercules.

Jesus had all of the power of God at his fingertips, but that wasn't the purpose of his birth, life, ministry, or death. He was still human, using his divine power as needed. By healing the blind and deaf, raising Lazarus and a little girl from the dead, walking on water, turning water into wine at a wedding feast, calming a storm while at sea fishing, healing lepers, casting out demons, rising from the dead, turning just a couple fish and loaves of bread into enough to feed 3,000 people... dang, how much more divine power should he have had?
Sure, Samson had superhuman strength, but even he only had it under certain circumstances: never cutting his hair and being dedicated to God. And in his imperfection, he told the "evil" Delilah his weakness, thus sealing his own fate. Not a very good superhero or superpower when it can all be taken away with a snip of the scissors.

The supernatural part is clearly the fictional part. Why not remember the message, rather than the story or the personality? Even if JC is a total fiction, at the heart of his story is what's important--the Sermon on the mount. It is in no way diluted because JC was not God, or even if he was not an historical reality.

Maybe he did, but like Clark Kent on Smallville, he hadn't discovered all his powers yet. But then he couldn't have been nailed to a cross, since the nails would've bent. Unless the nails were made from Kryptonite. Good question!

Heh, I agree. As an immortal and perfect being, you think that possessing super-strength should have been one of his miracles. I guess his Dad ("God") didn't want him to dominate or control humans. Or else Jesus out of survival instinct would have resisted being nailed on the cross.

What makes you think he didn't have supernatural strength?
John 2:15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;
He had to have been pretty tough.

He was given only what He needed. I'm sure that if he needed super strength to prove himself He would have had no problem recieving it.

He could have used any power He wished. He chose to live as a human except when He performed His miracles.
