Im 14 & talking to this guy who is 16. we've been to the movies together a few times and he sits with me at the highschool basketball games until he has to go play b/c hes on the varsity basketball team. Is this age difference ok? Should i tell my mom about him? Because he has asked me to come over to his house before but my mom didnt know about him? He has ask me out but i told him i have to think about it first. He is really sweet and has never tried to do anything i didnt want him to. Im abstantent till marriage and he knows that and respects that

2 yrs. Any more than that usually means both you and the guy have different goals for the relationship.
there are exceptions.

Since you're a minor, anyone over 18 is definitely out. As you get older and more mature, age makes less of a difference, but throughout your teens and 20s, even a few years makes a huge difference.
I'd suggest sticking within two years of your own age while you're a teenagers. Guys who are any older (or younger) will have different needs and interests than you.

You should date someone you age. You are so young! Stay under 18 for your own safty. I would advise not dating, not becuase of your age. Hang out with your friends and live life and go to school. You have a TON of time to date.

Id say 17 is old enough! 18 is too high! When you hit 17 then 18 or higher!

Anyone who has a driver's license is too old for you. 14 year olds should stay with people their own age, because you would have more in common with each other.

Not more than 2 years until you're out of high school, after that it depends on the persons maturity level..

Age doesn't matter when you become an adult. Any "man" wants some young pretty "thing" to be with. Just make sure you're not just a "thing"!
