The Bible contains letters from the Levites (Leviticus) wherein they say homosexuality is a sin. There are a number of other references too.
Now the 10 commandments do not mention homosexuality, nor does the new commandment.
But having multiple partners is fornication anyway, which is a form of gluttony.
Homosexuality was one of the big reasons God destroyed Sodom in the Bible.
The implication is that homosexuality goes against the man and his helpmate ideal (man and woman), being designed specifically for the job.
Islamic texts were written after the bible and are similar in places.
The Torah (Old Testament) also contains it.
As far as Hinduism goes, the religion may not reference it, but hindus generally may still be offended by the concept.
Buddhism is a great believer in the order of nature so as a practical concern, homosexuality has no technical place, but its exponents are far more driven by the philosophy rather than the worship.
Hope this helped, tried to be factual. Don't care what your life choice is, but it's totally up to the Christians and Muslims if they choose to believe what they believe since its a matter of faith and not law in many cases.

The word that is Homosexual in the Bible has been misinterpreted over the centuries. Earlier texts translated it as other things. Some people believe that it was originally meant as "men who sell young boys for sex." The words change over time, which means the Bible and some of the little meanings change over time. Islam is so closely related to Chrisitanity (as well as Judaism) that the basic rules are the same and they all say no to being gay.
Hinduism and Buddhism started in Asian countries and progressed differently. Hindus can be some of the most open-minded people in the world. Bhuddists believe more in letting everyone lead their own lives, but their priests have over 200 precepts to keep - and they are not allowed to have sex at all with anyone.
But there are people who believe different things in all religions.

It is in the word of the God:
"Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin.
Leviticus 18:22 NLT
7:81 Verily, with lust you approach men instead of women: nay, but you are people given to excesses!"
The Heights (al-araf) chapter 7:81

Because the homosexual act is a sin.In islam anal sex is a sin for everyone heterosexual or homosexual.
Do Buddhists and Hindus accept gays ? news to me
And before you start saying Hindus are more tolerant - ever heard of the caste system - how do you think gay untouchables are treated ?
Hinduism has taken various positions, ranging from positive to neutral or antagonistic. Sexuality is rarely discussed openly in Hindu society today, and homosexuality is largely a taboo subject — especially among the strongly religious. In a 2004 survey, most swamis said they opposed the concept of a Hindu-sanctified gay marriage.[16] Some of the law codes, such as that of Manu Smriti refer to both female and male homosexuality as a punishable crime.[17] Punishments include ritual baths, fines, public humiliation and having fingers cut off. However, the bulk of sexual matters dealt with by the law books are heterosexual in nature.
Buddhism is often characterised as distrustful of sensual enjoyment and sexuality in general.[24] In particular, homosexual conduct and gender variance are seen as obstacles to spiritual progress in most schools of Buddhism. Traditionally, monks are expected to refrain from all sexual activity, and the Vinaya (the first book of the Tripitaka) specifically prohibits homosexuality and gender variance for monks.[25] A notable exception in the history of Buddhism occurred in Japan during the Edo period, in which male homosexuality, or more specifically, pederasty between young novices and older monks, was celebrated.[26]
References to pandaka, a deviant sex/gender category that is usually interpreted to include homosexual males, can be found throughout the Pali canon as well as other Sanskrit scriptures.[27] Leonard Zwilling refers extensively to Buddhaghosa's Samantapasadika, where pandaka are described as being filled with defiled passions and insatiable lusts, and are dominated by their libido. The Abhidharma states that a pandaka cannot achieve enlightenment in their own life time, but must wait for rebirth as a normal man or woman. According to one scriptural story, Ananda—Buddha's cousin and disciple—was a pandaka in one of his many previous lives.
The third of the Five Precepts of Buddhism states that one is to refrain from sexual misconduct; this precept has sometimes been interpreted to include homosexuality. The Dalai Lama of Tibetan Buddhism interprets sexual misconduct to include lesbian and gay sex, and indeed any sex other than penis-vagina intercourse, including oral sex, anal sex, and masturbation or other sexual activity with the hand.[28] However, the Dalai Lama supports human rights for all, "regardless of sexual orientation."[29]

islam and christianity regard themselves as superior. They believe they can accept whatever the hell they like. But Hinduism and Buddhism do not regard themselves as superior and therefore behave in a very deep spiritual and rational manner.
The first two morons will be brought low and will become the inferior infidels that they really are.

Both for Old testament Biblical reasons.
There are those who like to say that the Bible does not condemn homosexuality. Various verses are cited (out of context) and the verses that people use to show that homosexuality is wrong are explained away. The world wants to change God's words and meanings into something more suitable to its sinful desires. Nevertheless, the truth stands: The Bible condemns homosexuality as a sin. Let's look at what it says.
Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."
Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them"
1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."
Rom. 1:26-28, "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper."
Homosexuality is clearly condemned by the Bible. It goes against the created order of God. He created Adam and then made a woman. This is what God has ordained and it is what is right. Unlike other sins, homosexuality has a severe judgment administered by God Himself. This judgment is simple: They are given over to their passions. That means that their hearts are allowed to be hardened by their sins (Romans 1:18ff). As a result, they can no longer see the error of what they are doing. Without an awareness of their sinfulness, there will be no repentance and trusting in Jesus. Without Jesus, they will have no forgiveness. Without forgiveness, there is no salvation.
What should be the Christian's Response to the Homosexual?
Just because someone is a homosexual does not mean that we cannot love him (or her) or pray for him (her). Homosexuality is a sin and like any other sin, it needs to be dealt with in the only way possible. It needs to be laid at the cross, repented of, and never done again.
As a Christian, you should pray for the salvation of the homosexual the same you would any other person in sin. The homosexual is still made in the image of God -- even though he is in grave sin. Therefore, you should show him same dignity as anyone else you come in contact with. However, this does not mean that you are to approve of their sin. Don't compromise your witness for a socially acceptable opinion that is void of godliness.

We accept homosexuals, but we don't except homosexuality. Try not to confuse the two. We like the people, but we don't like the sin, and it's not just this sin. It's all sin.
In a good church the homosexual will be welcomed with open arms, but he will be encouraged to change.

Well, most Christians and Muslims don't hate gays; they just don't approve of the gay lifestyle.
In the Bible, especially in Romans, it makes it clear that homosexual relations are sinful.
