My dear KJV:
Read the story of Galileo and why the Pope apologised to him posthumously.

If someone is too adamant about not learning, how can anyone teach him. Read yourself and find out.

Live and let live in peace as long as you can. Religion not based on the natural scientific truth is a bundle of folly and nonsense .Just as the very world created by God continues to change ,religions must also be changing with the growth of wisdom and expansion of the frontiers of knowledge ..Those Prophets who made the religions themselves have been changing during their life time and have changed in their life .Such of those who could not understand the very processes that they themselves have undergone, cannot understand the world order and God .Their philosophies should be lacking in even simple wisdom. You need no other proof for their own ignorance of the changes they themselves have undergone .Nothing in this world is static and everything must continue to change incessantly,See Bhagavad-gita to secure this simple wisdom.and to know more about the nature of this world and God .

It says "thump-thump, thump-thump". But I'll try my best to answer your loaded questions anyway:

People have to sort out their priorities on their own. If being on a personal spiritual journey is more important at the time than having to tolerate other religions, so be it. Though I would warn such people that things go a lot smoother for everybody when one minds his or her own business regarding religion.

"Is religion more important than science"? This is like asking if baking is more important than plumbing. They're both two completely different systems that humans have created to answer two completely different kinds of questions. As long as people aren't misusing religion to answer questions about the objective, physical world, things tend to run OK. Science by the way has been "proven wrong time and again", but so what?

As for how "God speaks in our heart", again, that's up for the individual to decide what (if anything) they want to interpret as "God". But I don't believe that reading something somebody else wrote is a "wrong" way to go about it, if that's what you mean. I usually find that the "I'm my own religion" types are just too uncreative and undisciplined enough to stick to any idea.

Nothing. I think with my brain. My heart pumps blood.

However, your question does bring up a good point. When religious people use phrases like "speak to your heart", they are really referencing the emotional attachment people have to their religious beliefs. Religion is not based on reason, evidence and logic. It uses emotional hooks to gain and keep converts. Humans have been emotional animals for far longer than rational ones. Therefore, emotional manipulation is still much more persuasive than reason.

That's why there is such a rift between science and religion. Religion offers pat answers that satisfy an emotional need. Science reveals truths that are more disquieting, and it does nothing to quell our fear of death and other human insecurities.

My heart says "hear me and I will guide you."

Religion is not more important than science. They have yet to contradict each other in my world.

Science should never find it's self restrained by religion. Science should be encouraged by religion. Religion tells us that there are other plains of existence. We should find them. Religion tells us there are other forms of reality and understanding that we have yet to find. Religion tells us that we have a soul, science is finding evidence of such a thing.

Your God will speak to you in whatever form He chooses. My Goddess will speak to me in whatever form or manner She chooses. I am only human and have no say or will over the deeds of an Immortal.

2) No.
3) It's possible to have science and religion as long as religion stays moderate.
4) Depends on what you believe, and who's reading the books.

God talks to me in my heart yea called prayer
neither should be stopped, because, no matter how hard you try research will go on, and church will still be held
im a Christian, and Christianity is based on your personal relationship with Jesus.
science doesnt give me a place to escape, a person to talk to when i have no other, science is facts and like you said- being proved wrong time and time again. when you prove God wrong- realy truly prove Him non exestent- i will put a challenge to my faith- until then- i believe and trust with all in me

My heart is inherently inarticulate. I find the entire idea of "listening to your heart" emotional thinking, which is notoriously fickle.

Unlike the question of whether or not you are "in love," the questions of God's existence is entirely one of evidence and reason. If you try to equate the two, you will either start looking for intellectual explanations for love, or judging the question of God's existence on whether you happen to feel good singing "Silent Night."
