What is the name of the former pupil you are searching for is it the latter John Edward Ward, if it is and John is alive and well then you wouldn't get the help you are asking for as it is considered unethical to post information in relation to any living person, but you could do a search on www.friendsreunited.co.uk hope this helps.

A good way may be to trace living people, possibly descendants of the person in whom you are interested.
It is possible that Walter may have called a son, Walter; or possibly a brother may have name a baby for his uncle.
Since there are only a couple of people in Leicester with the name Walter, you might start by contacting them possibly through www.192.com - there may be a listed phone number.
John is obviously another favoured family name - check out the John Wards in Leicester, although this might be a little more daunting - I have found 7 of those and just one Edward J. Ward.
Space here is limited to go into all the various options; would you like to contact me on my YA e-mail since you don't allow contact.

I'm answering from across the Atlantic, so some of my suggestions may not be entirely applicable where you are, but here goes:
Since you know his exact date of death, can you find an obituary published at the time? It might list the survivors and mention where they were living at the time.
Next, does Yahoo.uk have anything comparable to People Search? Can you simply type in the brother's name and find the addresses of all the John Wards in the country? Here, you can also proceed to Intelius, which lists people of a certain name and often gives their age as well as their city of residence. If you have such a resource available, you can narrow your search down to the John Wards of the right age; then you would have to pay a small sum for the address and telephone number of the one you pinpoint as the right one.
And does any genealogical site in the UK provide access to anything comparable to the US Social Security Death Index or to other birth and death records? (The name Somerset House sticks in my mind.) That might be a way to find out whether the brother is still living.
I just checked on Ancestry.com and found a few men with similar names but not the one you're interested in. Sorry!
Good luck with your quest!

If he died in 1958, I am not sure exactly what you are trying to ascertain. I looked at 192.com for Leicester, there is no John Edward Ward on there, but you could try it if you have more information. Are you trying to find any current descendants of the family? If so, try the BT enquiry site first.

This is the best option for a reverse phone number lookup https://tr.im/721a7
Receiving a one or two hang up calls each month is probably nothing to worry about, but when those calls increase in frequency and if it happens in the middle of the night then you must do something to stop it, before it starts affecting your life. With the help of this services you can take away the one advantage these people have - their anonymity.
