Plasma is far superior.

Plasmas lose their quality rather quickly (5 Years). But LCDs are more expensive. The replacement bulbs are cheaper for LCDs though, so LCD is probably the way to go for longevity.

IO have a 42 in LCD and very happy. I did what you did and asked my friends. They all said LCD> HD>
