No. The secret to happiness is realizing the all is one and what we do to others we do to ourselves. Humility and gratitude are fine, sure, but denying that other states of being exist creates conflict and removes us from that one-ness.

As a dedicated Muslim, I completely agree that part of the key to happiness is humility and gratitude... towards GOD. My religion requires continual prayer, sacrifice, and obedience to Allah, and in this, remaining humble and grateful of His mercies becomes second nature. For me personally, being pious in my religious efforts helps me to be a humble and grateful person in all aspects in my life, and therefore helps me to remain happy in all situations.

No. I can't tell you what the secret is, but it's certainly nothing to do with humility.

yes, if you can avoid excessive humility and gratitude, yours or others, you will be much happer.
It means you don't owe anyone anything, or vice versa

For me, the secret to happiness is inner balance/peace with one's self. Attained through knowledge and experience.

True Happiness happens whenever we are not judging anything.
Any time that you are not judging you are happy.
The moment that you start judging, you find something to be unhappy about.
It really is that simple.

Well, how about love, caring, honesty, unselfishness,
patient, kind, and knowing you believe in Christ and
will spend eternity with Him. Now that's happiness.
