my grandfather passed away about a year and a half ago. a few months after he died, i asked him for a sign that he was safe and everything. a week or so later, i had a dream and he was in it. we were at a family gathering like we always had been. he told me he had to go, so i said goodbye to him like i usually did. after this i began to walk away, but he called me back and said "in life, you can achieve anything you want". before i could respond, he walked out the door, and it locked behind him.

was this really him communicating to me thru my dream?

To dream about the death of a loved one, suggests that you are lacking a certain aspect or quality that the loved one embodies. Ask yourself what makes this person special or what do you like about him. It is that very quality that you are lacking in your own relationship or circumstances. Alternatively, it indicates that whatever that person represents has no part in your own life.?

Anything is possible...in my own experiences it seems as though a departed spirit hangs around for a time after leaving the body, and looks in on loved ones before leaving for good... I believe it is part of reviewing one's life to stop and say goodbye to loved ones on the way out.... in any case, if he actually communicated to you, or if you communicated to yourself, with him playing a role in your dream as a higher authority, the message of encouragement is a good one, and one to keep in mind always....

Your dream symbolized "letting go" of him when the door locked. Apparently he encouraged you in life to "be all that you could be". I suggest you take his advice and when you suceed at things, think of him smiling at you.
