i love my jeep and i only suplement it with a motorcycle however in the summer my jeep gets a break cause the fuel crushes me compared to the 43 mpg of the bike plus i like to ride so that is for another topic. but to answer your question i hate to say it is not a good one car to have especially for between cities and not only because of the fuel milage but also ride comfort is very low on jeeps priority list after a 100 miles you are tired of the bounce and the small quarters. but they are the most rugger vehicle for the money and that is why they ride rough. i would rather be hit in this than a car so to me i feel safer inside and the higher perspective is nice also.

I have Jeep Wrangler as an ONLY vehicle. But, I do not have wife and childrens.
I’m using it 90% in city drive and 10% off road. Gas mileage is not something to be proud but…it’s a Jeep:-).
Not easy to park it…visibility is not a plus, if you have soft top you can’t leave anything in car if they are at the street but…if you like it, like I do, you will enjoy and be proud owner:-))

Well, I just bought one but I still have my other vehicle too. Mine is a soft top & the only thing that really concerns me is how easily accessible it is. Just the few times I've taken it shopping, I've been a nervous wreck about leaving my purchases in it while going to another store or to eat or whatever. I've thought about it for ski trips too but I would be afraid to leave my stuff in it while skiing & afraid to leave my skis in it while doing other things! Sorry for the rambling - my point is that a hard top would be practical & the only disadvantage of a soft top would be the lack of security.

Well, it depends on if you have a full family or not. I take the back seat out of mine and there is ample room for hunting gear (so long as I am not going Goose Hunting.) The mileage is not that great, BUT they are fun cars to drive and will get you anywhere you want to go. There are also a bunch of different types of storage racks you can buy for it. I would suggest getting a receiver hitch, as most of the racks slide into the receiver hitch.

Get your Wrangler with a hardtop and you should be good to go.
