If you have Microsoft Office/Word, you can get free templates from their websites. Here are links to 3 grade book templates from there:

Microsoft Works also has templates right in their software that are various grids for recording student work.

A regular grade book costs about $5.00 at a local teacher store or through Amazon.

There are free templates all over the internet; however, you can pick up a gradebook for $5 or less at most teacher supply stores, and even many bookstores. These are really handy and easy to use - and they don't take up printer ink :-)

I picked up just a regular grade book for less than 5.00 at a teaching store.
