Not necessarily. I once left a large church to attend a smaller one because it was a more Biblically based church.

I have attended smaller churches most of my life because I can serve God there & you are missed when you are sick, etc. I don't have a problem with larger churches that break down into smaller groups so that people can find a place that meets their specific needs. We have left a small church to go to another small church to meet family needs that we have at this time. The size of the church doesn't make a difference as long as you are were God can use you & you don't get lost in the crowd.

:D That is a great quote - a mile wide, but only an inch deep spiritually!
I have to agree with it.
Mega churches are more concerned with how a person 'feels' than they are about how they will spend eternity.
The size of a church doesn't prevent the apostasy. We each have to seek to find a place where the infallible word of God is being taught.

Hello,
I think people are into being "seen". People also do some great business in and at church.
Bigger the church the more people come and more money is made by the paster. Most things can be summed up with money.
Smaller churches are more like a community.

It depends.
Some people go to several different churches throughout their life. Some may even attend hundreds over the course of their lifetime.
Some will in fact go to a larger church, and not return to the smaller church at which they began, or any smaller church, for that matter.
Others, however, will feel that the larger congregation is not for them, and they'll return.
However, I do agree that for the most part, yes, people rarely "downgrade" to a smaller church.

No i think people go to churches for all different reasons, usually because they are close to where they live or they have other friends go there. I don't think big or small churches make much difference.

Actually..it's the reverse for me...I do not like Mega-Churches..too many people and very hard to get to know the pastor.
I live only 10 minutes from the Potters House..
way too big..Congregation over 20, 000

Ok I went from a small church to a larger church only because I couldnt find a smaller church to go to. I would go back if I could find a smaller church.

i dont think that we have been to many churches big and small we prefer the smaller ones because its more like a little family as when you go to a big church you have smaller groups.

I quit going to church because I don't believe in organized religion. I do, however believe in God and the whole understanding of deity. But I don't wear my religion on my sleeve.
