If Jesus is just like one of the Indian saints ,why don't they have a big number of followers as Jesus has?

What did give you this weird impression about Lord Jesus?
Please read Bible (both Old and New Testament), if you are interested to know about Jesus.There is no semblance of Indian saints in the life and teachings of Lord Jesus.I am not a Christian .....but , I know , Jesus as a Savour of us.2.1 billion is numerical figure of followers of teachings Jesus Christ.......they can't be just fools to follow what was preached by Jesus Christ.

and we know that christians made forcible conversions where ever they went latin amercia mostly christian 100% forcible conversion
90% of christians in india today are converted forcibly
almost anywhere we can see either they are told to die or convert where they converted and the other places well i dont think if u take out the forced converts there is much left of christianity

Because the big Indian saints did not have a pathological liar like Paul to make up nonsense theology that tried to be all things to all people like Christianity did.

Problem with it is it is almost the exact opposite of what Jesus taught.

So what if there are 2100,000,000 christian believers...!!!! Belief is an induviduals perogative. Hindu saints have never forced religion on to others and hence relatively less in numbers. Also there has been to many divisions in hindusim such as Budhism,Vaishnavs , Shivaites,etc etc and too many written books to remember unlike christanity or islam which follow just the Bible or Koran . I suppose you are getting the gist of what i am trying to tell................

It's called marketing!!

No religion spends half the money that Christianity spends in order to propagate.

No religion holds masses, camping trips, motorcycle races and what-have-you in order to spread. No religion donates blankets and goodies to spread.

Thank the clergy for the spread of Christianity. Not Christ. He too would be taken aback if he could see how his words are being twisted and misinterpreted to serve the purpose of having more and more people flock to the Churches. (And in turn give more power to the Clergy)

... and BTW - of the 2100000000 believers, how many follow a protestant path, how many are Roman Catholics, How many Pentecostals and how many adventists?? Aren't these different religions ??

The Indian saints and their followers wer not interested in recruitment of disicles from all over the world .The bedrock of the very philosophy of the hindus being renunciation , the question of their propogasting the religion does not arise and is anti- hindu in nature .Christianity spread by the use of force by the kings of Europen countries in the neme of hoily crushade .that set an example for Islam to launch Jihad for rhe spreading of the religion. The very philosophy of Hinduismdoes not take pride in numbers . but in QUALITY ALONE .
Hinduism is not for sale . It does not collect thythes from the believers .even if the believer is richer than Bill Gates .Any Hindu is free to donate or not donate anything to his temple .The Hundis are kept in the temple so that people who are willig ,alone can donate anything that they like voluntarily.
the highest nume of th echritinity is due ot the fact that the christian British kings ruled almost theentire world and encourged the Missonaries to establish chrches in all thecountries they ruled and conferred favourts on the people who converted to chritianity .so it awas not on conviction that people took ot christianity, but for coinvenience .Naturally the converts and their progeny are multiplying .but for the use of force and favour by the ruling establishments , Christinity and Islam woud not have had a large number followers . the recruitmet is still going on.So there is absolutely nothing to be proud of the large population of these religions .The large nume r of the Hindu populationis not by force , thereat of death or conferment of favours . it is a natural religion and the numer is also really and genuinely natural.Since the large number of the population of the two religions.of Christinaity and Islam is due to the use of force and favour , only the people oi the lower classes took to conversion for the favours given as inducements to the convert ,you have only people of lesser intelligence and character who have taken to them.this is the cause of the backward ness of the Muslims and christians .
Hinduism does not rely on numbers so much as on quality and charcter .It is Hinduism that has provided a large number of people from the lower strata of the society as converts in India .
It requires a higher level of Intelligenceand some scientific knowledge , to understand the subtle spiritual philosophy of Hinduism . So it is very hard to for the Non-Indians to take to Hinduism.That accounts for the lack of followers of Hinduism in coutries other than India .
All religions preach aquisition and Hinduism alone preaches only renunciation.

Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita that-out of millions among men who take up the path of self realization, hardly one knows Him in truth. We shouldn't concern ourselves with how many. But how pure. Most take that up because they want to be cheated and so God gives them cheating gurus (priests, preachers) to follow. They may have some things right but they have lost so much of what Jesus originally taught. Now a days they are preaching prosperity, health wealth, I me and Mine. This is so attractive to people though it was not the teachings of Jesus. He said things like "Go and sin no more." and "Give up all you have and follow me." They don't preach this they preach what people want to hear. They didn't crucify Jesus for preaching health and wealth, they crucified him for smashing their bogus philosophies in the temples back then. He didn't become so popular until they changed much of what he taught. It is all a mess. If they where actually following Jesus there would be one Christian religion but they don't know much of what he originally taught.They don't even know his real name. The name Jesus was given into translation.
