Well, I wouldnt want an ugly girlfriend so looks are sorta important, and I wouldnt want a mean girlfriend, or a like really over senstive one, like you poke yourself with a pencil on accident then your gf comes over saying," OMG honey are you ok? let me give it a big kiss"(sounds more like my mom...) so looks are sorta important and your personality should be in the the middle of mean and sensitive, thats what I look for =)

I'd say personality, but it's not really an either/or. You've got to be attracted to her looks to a certain degree.
Personality is more important in the long run. All our looks are going to fade in time anyway.

Personality over looks, but looks are important...I'm a guy that goes for cute instead of hot because usually the cute ones are the only ones with intelligence.

I don't think it's really an either-or situation. Looks def are the first thing that attracts you to someone, but also personality can make you interested in a person you never thought you'd be, just because you really fall for their personality. It can go both ways, but I think everybody kind of wants at least a mix of both. You don't want the super-cool girl/guy who is horribly unattractive and you also don't want the really hot girl/guy who is just so lame to be around that you don't want to actually talk to them.

Im not a guy, but its personality. Looks will only atrract a guy to you. Looks will not keep a guy bc guys need more from a girl than her looks. Trust me from experience:) On the other hand, guys u all say its personality but thats crap bc u guys know u would rather be with a good looking girl than an unttractive one. You guys are even ashamed to bring an ugly girl around ur friends. So, guys dont know what they want thats the truth:)

Initially, looks... but in the long run, personality. I have to be attracted to her physically before I'd approach her... in rare circumstances, if I got to know her as a friend or co-worker I may become attracted to her personality in time.
In this day and age, it's obvious that everyone can be in shape and eat healthy... you're doing yourself a diservice if you are overweight with unhealthy skin... a good body goes a long way. You can have one, you just have to work at it.

I'd say both. I mean you can't notice if a girl has a great personality before talking to her. And there has to be a reason you talked to her in the first place, and the reason would be looks. So noticing the looks in my opinion kinda lead to finding out what her personality is.

Personality for me. My friends say looks. But what good is a great looking girl if she's a bitcch. Really. I prefer someone I can enjoy spending time with.
Oh, I'm 38 now. 20 yrs ago it was looks all the way.

I am 34.
Definitely more attracted now to a woman's personality, attitude, the way she carries herself, intelligence.
Confidence and personality are sexy.
Not sure I would have agreed at age 21 thru 30.
