BT have agreed a small amount in compensation byt cannot help me with compensation for loss of my BT Broadband. They say that I am registered with BT Yahoo Broadband and not BT Broadband and therefore they, BT, cannot help me. So who do I contact then to take the matter further? Anyone in the know here would be greatly appreciated ...............

The are talking absolute rubbish, i'm also with BT broadband and the only thing that was to do with yahoo was the free account they set up and i don't use.
did they tell you why there was a problem with your broadband or what specifically the problem was? if you can supply a few more details i might be able to help further.

Skip BT,. boycott them,.. they're the greediest, most manipulative, scummy, thieving bastards that have ever walked the planet. Really,. do yourself a huge financial favour and stop giving them your money; they're ripping you off as much as they can while promising lower costs, better performance; yet it's known it's all a pile of cats do-do.
Virgin Media,... try them,.. (still as greedy, but they're more honest about it).
