I don't believe in religion. I believe in God.
I was not raised in a "Christian" home. We were always taught that Jesus was a liar, a deceiver, possibly a lunatic, but above all else, very definitely dead!
When I was facing a crisis in my life in my mid 20's, and someone asked if he could pray for me, even though I thought it was a bad idea, I figured it wouldn't matter, anyway, since talking to a dead man won't do anything.
Brian prayed, and God answered, and I had an encounter with Jesus Christ that changed my life forever! Now I know that Jesus Christ truly IS the Son of God!
It's amazing how that once you actually meet Someone, you can no longer deny His existence.

Anyone that believes in something is a looser.
There is the guy that believes in Jesus, other believes in Krishna, other believes in Buddha, others believe in atheism, etc.
Myself, I don't believe, I know sure, God exist and religion is natural for the spiritual soul: is to know about Him and to love Him.

I was raised in a "liberal" "christian" group. Taught evolution, and secular hedonism (to be blunt). I read CSLewis MERE CHRISTIANITY in which he said the Savior was either the son of the Almighty or he was a raving lunatic. That got my attention, and I started reading Scripture. There are things I don't understand, and things I don't like, but I can't find an excuse to throw it all out. I can't believe it is made up, for it fits together so well that I understand that to be a persuasive argument for its truth.

There is no tangible reason for my believe. None that I can touch or see. But isn't that what religion is? Believing with your heart and not your eyes?

No one can see God, but that's why he sends down miracles every once in while. That's why.
