heres my source if ur confused:
- Associating others with Allaah in love and veneration, by loving a created being as loving Allaah. This is the kind of Shirk that Allaah does not forgive, and it is the Shirk about which Allaah Says (what means):

“And of mankind are some who take (for worship) others besides Allaah as rivals. They love them as they love Allaah.” [Quran 2:165]

Actually, this loving of another person more than we love Allah is something that can happen unintentionally. For instance, what if you love your son very much but he is a person who, Allah forbid, lies and steals and perhaps even murders someone. The Islamic thing to do is to make sure that he is punished for his crimes, but some parents, loving their child so much, will cover up the crime and not allow justice to be done. This means that the parent loved his child more than he loved Allah, because he chose his child over obeying the laws that Allah set down for mankind. This is a type of shirk, but it is less than the major shirk of praying to another entity or declaring you don't believe in Allah, Allah forbid.

What a person in such a situation has to do is realize that this life is short and that Allah will hold him to account for not obeying His laws. He should not stop loving his son but he should love Allah more and see that justice is done.

This is just one example. I have an in-law who is addicted to heroin, may Allah help him. His family has bailed him out of trouble hundreds of times and bankrupted him. His mother is now an invalid due to the stress and heartache, and he has even sold her TV, computer, stove, and other appliances for drugs while she is lying helpless in her bed. Yet the family does not stop this person. They "love" him so much they won't seek justice by having him arrested so he cannot steal from others - his mother is just one of many he has stolen from. By choosing him instead of forcing him to face his addiction and not letting him face justice, they are both enabling his addiction and choosing him over obedience to Allah. This is a form of shirk, and may Allah help them to see that they are helping no one with their attitude. And Allah knows best.

Fi Aman Allah,

I am saying this in a calm manner so no offense to anyone. K

I can not fathom how someone would love another or love one of Allah's creations the same way he would love the creator. I can't get it.

All the blessings that we have from Allah swt and I mean ALL cause it is immense, how can that person do that for another and give the same.

Astagfirullah.

If it is something done unintentionally that would mean that they were oblivious of the.............im sorry i am lost with this.

If you do something unintentionally that means you had no knowledge before of what ever that certain thing is and so inshallah if you don't know you go and find out, and humdulillah correct yourself.

But I am sorry I can't apply that to what your question states. I can't see how. Did they not know of Allah's blessings?

Loving somebody is different from making partners with Almighty. If you love somebody for sake of Allah, the Great, or you hate somebody whom He hates, you are rewarded. But loving somebody is totally different. Shirk mainly happens when you associate somebody/some things as partners to the Creator. Well, any thing done unintentionally will be pardoned only if you realise your mistake and make repentance. Here, I believe, the chance of forgiveness is more than the situation where you err intentionally, knowing very well, and then beg for pardon. But for sure, any mistake once done, and surrendered to Allah, the Almighty for forgiveness will be pardoned only if you do not repeat it. Never have a doubt about His rahmath (benevolence). You supplicate yourself whole heartedly and leave it to Him for forgiving, because He knows best.

hmm, well are you going to worship the someone or something you love?
if not all is well then.
Love of Allaah(swt) and love of someone something is different.

edit:

“And of mankind are some who take (for worship) others besides Allaah as rivals. They love them as they love Allaah.” [Quran 2:165]

worship...that is where the difference lies.

Love of Allah is love for the creator, and feelings will be totally different compared with when you love a human being.

However, one must love prophet mohammad (p.b.u.h) more than any other human beings, as it is a must, and automatically happens when you think of pains that he took to deliver message of Allah to human beings. As no one will enter Janah unless his love to the prophet is more than that of any other human being. It is not shirk, it is perfectly fine and natural to love your prophet the most.
However, don't treat him as your creator, as he loved Allah the most. If you love prophet, your love for allah would be more.

it is not Shirk in itself as long the one who obeys or love does not hold the belief that the one whom you love, reaches the status of a "legislator", (like Allah and His prophet) Who must be obeyed, and as long as its doer does not make it lawful for himself to commit such a sin as a result to his belief (that it is from a legislator).

Rest Allah knows the best~!

first of all shirk skill polythesiam. 2nd of all , as a replace of say Jeses (PBUH) , Say Issa (PBUH). yet you may say the two , yet Issa is plenty greater advantageous to declare, considering the fact it quite is the quite call of the Prophet. Peace to my Muslim Brothers and Sisters! :D

before death, it can be forgiven.
After death, that is the ultimate sin.

Those to be in the most peace with Allah are those who die without any issues upon their written books.
