I drnik creatine drink after i work out. i dont ever drink a whey protein shake or drink though because i normally eat anywhere from 65-130 grams of protein a day. if i start doing the protein drink WITH the creatine would that hurt? i know i can use them together, but with all the protein i eat in a day PLUS the protein shake, is that too much protein? will that just make me gain fat?

Protein is the least thermogenic of all macronutrients and typically the excess is excreted. The only time it's not excreted is if there is a lack of other macronutrients to provide energy.

How much you should get depends on your LEAN body mass (how much lean muscle mass you have, not just total bodyweight), your activity levels, your goals and what your exercises are. For the average couch potato, .5-.75 grams of protein per pound of lean bodyweight per day is sufficient. For the active person who primarily does cardio type activities, .75-1 gram per day is good. For the person who is looking to gain some muscle mass or the elite athlete, 1-1.5 per day. For the hardcore bodybuilder, 2+ per day. Any more than these amounts are simply not necessary.

If your diet is in order, excess protein will not harm you and will simply be excreted. Only the kidney patients should be worried about health issues resulting from excess protein.

Creatine is used in the aid of the production of ATP, the primary energy source used by muscles. This is important for strength athletes as it allows them to pump out extra reps or push a bit harder during anaerobic activity. It also aids the muscles in the uptake of nutrients by expanding the cell through extra hydration. Creatine is not actually harmful in any way, as numerous studies have concluded over and over again throughout the years (again unless you're a kidney patient). Taking creatine with protein is not harmful, and in fact many protein foods like red meats contain creatine naturally. Just be sure not to leave creatine in solution too long as the monohydrate version will convert to creatinine, which is known to cause gastrointestinal distress.

Scientifically you get extremely usable protein from your Green veggies.
The protein from meats are not good for your health. So be very careful about taking in extra protein thinking you are building body mass. You are not. Protein just has to be filtered from your body by your liver and can cause lots of health problems. Muscle is primarily water.

Get some good advise from Coach Jack Medina. http://www.jackmedina.com/
Your best nutritional supplement would be a balance supplement from whole food, like Juice Plus+ http://www.juiceplus.com/nsa/pages/Home.soa?site=Lb53116 Many doctors use it in their practice and even coach Medina recommends it. And he is a great guy.

you should try to consume a gram of protein for each pound you weigh. for example:: i am 148 lbs i eat at least 148 grams of protein a day and even more if i am trying to build mass.

p.s. make sure u drink at least a gallon of water a day with your creatine. even if you have to force yourself to drink it. you could get a kidney disease if you dont. and creatine is not the same as protein, it just puts water in your muscles to make them endure more and look bigger.

dont do the creatine with the whey protein, that could be VERY dangerous. Because the special chemicals and such from the creatine could mix with the special chemicals from the whey protein.

how much do you weigh? you can take in a lot of protein. while working out my trainer says about 1-1.5 grams for every pound. i shoot for about 1 gram per pound. adding a shake certainly wouldn't hurt.
