Yahoo is trashy for deleting comments people have posted on this. Just because people don't agree with each other somebody reports them and then the automatically delete comments. Wow this is trashy. This is why google is taking all of yahoo's business.

Yes many people care about the military. Most of the trouble and hard feelings are caused by the news media and either false or no reporting. We had enough things happen in the past that cost serviceman's lives I dint feel we had much choice after 9/11 but to do something, Very many service men feel we are making a difference over there. Yes mistakes have been made as is the case in all military conflict's. Its a good thing we dint have to many people who feel like at least one answerer does. its just a shame we loose people to protest those who think that way

Yes, a lot of people do. In my hometown, just the other day, my mom and i were driving around town and i saw multiple homes with banners and signs about the troops, and caring for them. I know that many people still think about them every day, and my family and i even "adopted" one and sent them a care package. there are still stories in magazines and newspapers and on the news too

As a Soldier currently in Southwest Asia for my third tour, of course I support us.
But dont think that wanting all the service members home is support. The last thing I, and most of my brothers and sister in arms, want is to be sent home prematurely just because people sitting on thier couches at home watching CNN think its whats in our best interest. If you want to know whats in the service members best intrests, then as US.
Dont just assume that we all want to pull out. I know I dont want to pull out of Iraq. We pull out now and we will just be back here in a few years to take another dictator out of power.
Seriously people, if you truly support our service members, support what they do! Not what you think they should do.
Now, Im not saying I wouldnt like to home with my beautiful wife right now, Im not saying that at all. I would love nothing more than to be able to see here everyday. But that doesnt mean that I think we shouldnt be here.
We will be here until our mission of helping Iraq form a fully functional Government and Military. And I am fully prepared to come back here if that isnt completed.

Yes we care about our troops and we will bring them home when the job is done. Have you missed the news that the Surge is working and the incidences of violence has decreased? We still have armed troops on the DMZ in South Korea and that "ended" over 50 years ago.

Sadly at the end of the Vietnam war the troops were spat on by the great American public - even the wounded with limbs missing!!!

Perhaps this time the public will realize that the troops are hero's sent to do a job by their country in the face of real and present danger.

If anyone hates the war, wants the troops back into safety then look to the one man responsible - the president!!!!

Bush is not just putting the troops in harms way for his own agenda but building hatred from many countries and insulting allies. He must be tagged as the worst President the country has ever had!!!!!

Yes I do. I have a son serving in Iraq.

He'll be home next summer. Whether or not he has to go back depends. All though he likes what he's doing and the truth is far different than what his reported on the news.

Um, I care about the troops....Are you talking about the government or people whose loved ones are in Iraq? I thought I heard that troops have to be out of Iraq by mid 2009?...but I could be wrong.

Well I don't support Terrorism or Torture, so I don't really care. Maybe next time they shouldn't just blindly sign up for a war before they understand what role they will actually be playing.

The Military is like a machine with a mind of its own, once your in you must do what they tell you. The machine will not always do what is right, if you want evidence just look at WW2 and the Nazi's, how many Germans do you think blindly signed up believing that no matter what they were doing the right thing, and what do we know now. I do not condone blind obedience or repeating stupid mistakes of the past. Anyone stupid enough to be fighting in Iraq "to spread Peace throughout the world" deserves to die, and will get none of my pity.

And it will not end anytime soon, there is still much money to be made for the greedy capitalist pigs. Its funny how stupid the human race can sometimes be...

People who really support the troops would favor bringing them home immediately. We're not doing any good over there.

*HOW BUSH SUPPORTED TROOPS IN 2007

1. Required that soldiers discharged early because of
battlefield injuries repay their enlistment bonuses.

2. Sent the longest-serving National Guard unit home after 729 days of combat in Iraq - one day shy of the 730 that the
soldiers needed to qualify for education benefits.

3. Omitted 20,000 cases of brain trauma from the official tally
of troops injured in Iraq.

4. Denied medical benefits to 22,000 veterans suffering from
post-traumatic stress by discharging them for having enlisted
with "pre-existing personality disorders".

"First Obama informed us that he could close Gitmo interior of 12 months of taking workplace & could start up bringing our troops homestead from Iraq interior of ninety days of taking workplace" it extremely is variety of stressful to close it whilst the states brazenly face up to taking the prisoners. "Now Obama informed that that the government could fail and necessary centers could fall if the Sequester Cuts went into result" this could be a fallacy. purely through fact the sequester got here approximately does no longer imply it helped the financial device. in certainty, it has injury financial improve through fact it could have been larger.
