The differences between the two Religions are interpretations of one event.

The obvious simalarities of the two are glaring and one must look at each and wonder how each could be so close to the same.

Time is a linear tool of mankind, it is a large part of our reality and we use it to experience past-present and "future" thoughts as without it we would have no reference.

Some can argue time is "man made"-perceptual and I would agree in cultural form and submit "time" is also Tangible as how else would things Age absent time? People "Get old", metal rust, cars break down, all examples of Time at work.

I bring up time in order to answer your question.

God IS.

That statement above defines the nature of reality, in part as it relates to creation.

God is: "I AM". The very beggining, the first tick tock of any clock;
with God, the first consciousness, time has no place as a tool as All things Begin and End with God; a grand concept for one to grasp hol of.

Mankind is so anchored in the physical realm of "reality" he has forgotten his origins are not physical, but "non-physical" or "spritual" in nature;

Mankind (Genesis) is a portion of God experiencing the "physical" as God is a portion of All Things.

Being Spritual in nature is having an awarness much higher than what mankind experiences Right Now; that awarness is that portion of God that is part of man. What I am saying is mankind is so engrossed in his physical "world" he is Unaware of much of himself and God has sent word of his very nature "to remind him" of himself.

Some will scream "why does God not just pop up walk from a cloud and say "hey, your a spirit" get with the program!

I would submit your creating a God that is not as reality is. God is not separate from Mankind, but within mankind and any awakening shall come from "Within" each and not from an outside source.

Edgar Cayce, a global medium, once said "we grow to heaven, we do not go to heaven.

Makes perfect sense.

And to answer your question: Christianity and Islam are of the same source and interpreted differently by different cultures; as Jesus represented one culture Mohammad another; each message was delivered by the same diplomate, give the diplomate any name you wish as this will,not change the message of peace and Origins of man.

Time and culture changed those messages to suit mankinds distorted sense of truth( churches and politics). One might be astounded to see how Narrow a view Christianity and Islamic "faiths" have based on the shear amount of written text that Never made it into any "Bible"; understandn that HUNDREDS of attestments were LEFT OUT of the bible and the "bible" is a Collection of "accepted" attestments....and whom took it upon themselves to ACCEPT TRUTH and omit other Truths on mankinds behalf? Churches and politics...

Upon reading responses of "Christian"s whom speak highly of themselevs in good light while condeming others I remind them of their church and their "INQUISITION" and the hundred of thousands tourtured and killed in "Gods" name of CHRISTIANITY.

Chrisian faith is No Less Bloody than any other; the blood was that of the innocent and all in the name of Their Faith; "believe in our God or die in agony"; the Truth in this is plain and historical and directly in line with the Jewish Holocaust, or is there a difference in Christians killing non Christains or Nazi's killing Jews?

If so, do tell.

You often cast stones and were warned time again not to as each stone cast comes back at you; have Christians and any other religions not learned that their faith is their own and not to be sold as wares to self promote?

This self promotion is the Ego teaching those that they are "superior" as they know the truth, yet, the truth eludes them...

Islam and Christianity are not essentially the same religion but are essentially from the same source i.e. Allah. Christianity (make sure the word christianity does not exist in the Bible at all) is the earlier version of Islam distorted, manipulated, interpolated, corrupted. That is why Allah sent his Final religion with the final Testament Al-Quran. At the same time, while revealing his last testament also has taken the responsibility of protecting it from human interpolation for all eternity. That is why we see the language in which the Quran was revealed is a living language even today and will continue till the last hour as proclaimed by Allah Himself. This is not the case with the Bible. First of all, we do not have the Bible in its revealed language, only the translation is available!!

NO In Christianity we serve a living God. The Lord Jesus Christ came to earth as a man so He could die for the sins of the world. When He was buried He took our sins away and He rose again the third day for our justification. He rose from the dead Islam prophet is still in the grave. Romans 4: 25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. 1 Corinthians 15: 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Essentially, No.

These are the essentials of Christianity and they are obviously different from the essentials of Islam:

First, we believe in the authority of Scripture, which is another way of saying that the Bible is God's inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word. It's the ultimate source for knowledge about God, as well as the definitive guide for our daily lives.

Next we affirm the existence of a triune God or one God in three distinct persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This God is self-existent, eternal, unchanging, omnipotent, omnipresent, holy, righteous, and loving. God created the universe from nothing and He rules sovereign over His creation, including both human and angelic beings.

We also hold that man is a physical and spiritual being who is created in God's image. But because of his sin or transgression, man has lost his fellowship with God. The extent of sin is so great that its effects continue to this very day in the form of cruelty, sickness, suffering, and death.

By God's grace, Jesus Christ - Who is fully God and fully man - was sent to save us from our bondage to sin. We believe that Christ was born of a virgin, died for our sins, physically rose from the dead, and will one day return to judge the world and deliver His people. Faith in Christ is the only means by which mankind can escape eternal damnation and judgment.

Finally, we recognize the church as God's ordained institution headed by Christ. The church is composed of all believers, and is organized for worship, for fellowship, for the administration of the sacraments, for spiritual growth and support, and for evangelizing the world.

They share the same foundational narrative of the OT and they worship the same "one God". Clearly Christianity and Islam have added subsequents narratives which distinguish the finer details of why they are indeed different religions.

Yes to me they are. At least 85% of beliefs are similar. Just different way of interpreting. And muslims tend to be more strict about their teaching(but certain types of christians too).

They have many similiarities since they are rooted in montheism but Christians introduce pagan elements and idolatry by deifying their prophet and praying to him.

Also in Islam God is define as Merciful and Compassionate

In Christianity he blames the entire human race for the sin of Adam (which they werent even alive at the time of) then has an innocent tortured to death for the sins of others. How loving.
