Do neurosurgeons only do surgeries or can they research about brain and nerves too?!?

1. Neurosurgery includes nerve damage wherever it occurs in the body, as well as the brain. All of these are options for neurosurgeons, but just because their specialty is neurosurgery does not preclude them from other types of surgery or practice in medicine, it's just where their interest and hopefully, their primary talent lies.
