If he is so right, why does TWC continue in it's quest of manmade global warming?

Because he's not a scientist.

He's a former TV weatherman and a businessman, nothing more. He simply hasn't got a clue. He's simply ranting politically.

The Weather Channel itself has, and has access to, serious scientists. Since the vast majority of them agree global warming is real, and mostly caused by us, that's their position.

And the position of most all of the world's leaders, most corporate executives, and most people.

I suspect that his primary motivation is that he's wealthy and supports a political agenda that will protect his wealth, apparently at all costs. It is possible though that as a TV weather man he knows how little we know about the variables involved in local weather prediction, and he asumes that climate is just the sum total of all global weather.

The many details and uncertainties that frustrate weather forecasting are irrelevant in climatology, so a meteoroligist's inclination to assume that climatology is just "big weather" is way off base.

Global climate is not weather. The sun sends us energy and the atmosphere traps some of that energy, depending upon the composition of the atmosphere. At the most basic level there's one input (solar radiation) and one output (infrared / heat radiation), and the escaping energy has been measured as less than what's coming in, so the planet heats up. The planet can't heat up without a reason ("natural cycles" are explained by underlying physical causes). We know from past cycles that the reason for the heating this time is the addition of an unnatural quantity of carbon-based gasses (Co2, methane, etc.) to the atmosphere, which makes it trap more heat.

I think there may be a easing off by the media on the Man made Global warming issue. I have noticed that even when the are doing a story that's promotes belief in it . They now use the phrase "Some scientist say" thereby acknowledging. That not all scientist agree with the scenario being presented as fact

Because it is! the earth naturally got colder when the ice age was going on and then got warmer when the ice melted and it did this all by itself why couldn't the earth just be heating itself naturally now like it did then !

Because he's just a meteorologist (and apparently a conspiracy theorist) and doesn't understand the science behind global warming.

Many people at The Weather Channel have educational backgrounds in climatology, so they can understand the science involved and know it's real.

Most people you see on news are journalists and most journalists are very liberal. Most of them are susceptible to notions of man caused disasters because it fits neatly into their ideology. In addition, most are from big cities and are impacted proportionately more than suburban and rural areas so that also tends to make them more susceptible. Even if the founder thinks so, that doesn't mean those running it do. It is sad that the educational and media institutions are so one sided and biased. They forget about science in their quest to push their agenda.

TWC is now produced by former CNN personal. They know that doom and gloom, the world is ending tomorrow fears sells air time.

There a lot of money to be made peddling the fear of global warming. We should question the motive of any one who claims global warming is man made to see where they get their funding from.

No one can tell you if it will be warmer or cooler in 5 years. They are just guessing.

It's simple, he doesn't control what's being broadcast on that station anymore. Just because he's the founder, doesn't mean he's still running the network.
