I'd like to think that I'd be an atheist either way (and therefore not belong to a religion) but I don't know how severe the indoctrination might have been and whether or not I would have been exposed to the secular information that I have seen.

I suppose I could have turned out to be a Muslim or a Christian given the right set of circumstances.

Religion of parents.

Saudi Arabia has lots of Hindu and Christian workers.
There children born in Saudi Arabia has religion of
their parents.

Let there be no compulsion in religion:
Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.

i'm muslim and ... if i were born in saudi or elsewhere in this world i would definitely be muslim ...coz i believe that every one born as believer (believer= the one who respect his brain by believing that there is only one god who create every thing in the world and the only one who has the great power to control the whole world ...and all of that is based in the islamic faith .. which i believe in since the first time i've breathed..)

I'd probably still end up an atheist but not at this age. I imagine it would have taken me more challenges; less freedom to do my research, more exposure to religious teachings etc. I don't know, I would probably still be a Muslim at this time even just in title.

They would somehow still have found the one true religion, the one that they have now. Can you believe that some people actually believe that!

To mis-quote Groucho Marx...

I offer my resignation - I have no wish to "belong" to any religion that would have me as a member.
