I am a black girl who has never date a black guy. all my boyfirends have been white or spanish, it's not really my fault i like white guys. they just look so hot, my family has already told me that they don't aprove me to date any one out of my race. and my brother has made it clear that he would disown me from our family if i date, or marry any one out of my race. i can never find a nice black man, they are cute but looks aren't everything. i would like to date a black man but i can never find any. so i stopped looking for them, now i just date white guys. is this bad or does it not matter

It doesn't matter. All that matters is that your happy with the one your with. No matter the race. It matters how much you care for them. Its really about the personality, not race or looks.

Where do you live? I mean, c'mon. I have been in that situation before. My dad is Afro-American and my mom is white. Around the age of 16 I had an aunt telling me that she thought I didn't like dating black girls because she never saw me with one. It was a pretty heated argument. Crazy thing was she never confronted my dad on why he married a white woman. I think she took her frustration out on me. In any event, don't let other people tell you who you should date or marry. It is your life and that's it. When you get married are your parents or that brother of yours moving in with you ? I thought so. So date or marry the love of your life regardless if he is purple and lives on the moon. Eventually they will come around and except him as they than see he makes you happy.

I wouId not worry (however I do not know, since my parents do not care and I've never really liked anyone out of my race anyway [coincidence]), because eventaully, your parents and brother would have to accept it. It is your choice. What good is dating someone of your own race if they do not make you happy at all? Why date someone when you know that you will always have a high affection for another that it becomes a problem?

Don't worry. They have to accept it eventually. Ask your brother how he would like it if he was restricted to people not his own race? (yeah, he'll be like that will never happen, but just hypothetical) He will not like it one bit I'm guessing.

it's all up to you, if your family won't support your decisions then they need to ask themselves if you are that important. everyone in this world is looking for something, i think that's happiness. if your happy with someone then your on the right path. do what feels right not what others want u to do. it's your life. i'm a white guy and would love a black girl, never had that chance, if i did my papents would wanna kill me but i would still stick with it. Choose happiness! X
