I have a REAL bad tooth ache, and dentist is closed for holiday. I think if I page him personally, he would call in a RX for me till tommorrow when I can go in. I am on Vicodin now for back pain, and only get so many per month from my MD. I used a few addtl for this PAIN in my tooth, but I dont want to run out too early and have none for my back pain. Is it legit to get another pain script filled within the same week from 2 different doctors? How will my insurance company take this? Can the pharm even fill another script for me for pain meds?
Thanks0-- these meds now for my back pain arent really even touching the tooth pain for too long.. OHHHHHWWCC

Also, what about using a different pharmacy, (if the dentist prescibes the same med) And what would work better for tooth pain med? What about Vicoprofen? Is that considered the same thing as Vicodin es?

Try taking 2 advil and 2 tyenol at the same time. This is what we tell our patients who don't like to take pain meds. This acts like a narcotic without the side effects of one. Works great!

If it's the same drug, they probably won't fill it for you. Or they will call both of your docs to let them both know that you are getting the same prescription from both docs.

If it's different (but probably won't be. your dentist will probably give you vicodin too) then the pharmacy should fill both prescriptions.

TAKE 4 ADVIL EVERY 4-6 HOURS INSTEAD. THIS IS ORE EFFECTIVE IN PAIN CONTROL THAN VICODIN.
