No such thing as a real American Muslim. We have too many freedoms as Americans to accomidate the religion of Islam.

I think that in respect to the country and its founders, you should say "God". Please know that I fully respect each persons choice in what they believe, but if we allow each person to substitute what desire in place of "God" in the Pledge, we are left with nothing. If you don't feel right about the word, "God" then I would suggest just not reciting that particular part, but please do not change the Pledge of Alligence.
If there was a pledge in Iran that required the person to pledge alligence to Iran and "Allah" I would be consistant in telling a Christian that he/she could not substitute Jesus Christ for "Allah" in respect for the country in whic he/she is living.
Hope this helps.

I think it would be better to take the entire phrase "under God" out of the pledge. Religion should be kept in your homes, churches and mosques and out of the public arena. Besides "under God" was not part of the pledge as it was originally written. That phrase was added to the pledge during the paranoia of communist invasion back in the 1950's

No it can not be substituted. We are a nation under GOD not Allah. We are a nation that was blessed because of that difference, even though now we seem to be rejecting God and declining. But we do not need further problems by saying Allah.

Don't see why you couldn't, since the writer of the Pledge didn't include "under God" when they wrote it. That was added in the 1950s during the Red Scare.

Quite honestly, you can say 'Tinkerbell' for all I care. I don't think reciting a pledge makes anyone more or less patriotic.
Richard Nixon said the pledge all the time, and he was a crook.

Allah is a God, so just say God. Don't try to stir up trouble.
If I heard someone say 'under Allah' instead of 'under God', I would be very angry. I say that as a patriotic American, not a religious freak.

Allah is the name of God. Jesus called him Eloi. "i" in the end indicates "My " in hebrew and arabic.
And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Mark (15:34)

Allah is simply another name for God. So a) it would be totally fine for you to do that. but b) it might be unnecessary. And while I'm at it, as a Christian I have always refused this 'pledge of allegiance', as I pledge my allegiance only to God, not to some piece of cloth nor the empire for which it stands.

"Allah," is not God, according to my research, but rather a moon god. I don't like the sound of "Allah."
If it's the same thing, then what's the difference or why would you mind?
