For the religious people, when you go to church, or the kingdom hall, or a signaguge(I know I spelled that wrong), do you just sit there and accept everything the preachers says or do you question the validity of at least some of what he/she says?

I do. I love doing that. Most people who don't question are the ones that just take all that is said as fact and truth. They are like "Oh, OK, sounds good." You got to question, you have to ask or reason it out yourself. Sometimes you'll find a preacher that is humble enough to admit that he doesn't know the answer. Those are the ones that I respect the most! Preachers are not supposed to be all high and mighty, they are supposed to humble like all those that served God in the Biblical times. Maybe they should READ the bible instead of thumping it!!!

People like listening to preachers because if they say something that pricks their conscience all they have to do is say, "Well that is his opinion". What many Christians don't like is having to study the Bible for themselves, because when the Bible says something you can't just brush it off as being someone's opinion. The thing lacking in the church today is people who really know their Bibles well enough to challange the preacher. Jesus never intended for men to have the power that they do in the Church.

I have heard preachers preach how you should not accept everything your preacher preaches!

I have never attended a church where people were told treated like they had to agree with everything the preacher said.

The Bible is a different story. MANY churches teach the inerrency of the Bible.

I do not have a RELIGIOUS PREACHER first of all. My Pastor is a true Messenger of Jesus Christ. He doesn't preach religion. He preaches freedom from sin and religion in Jesus Christ. I don't question much of what he says but I do research what he teaches. He has never been wrong yet. However I do reccommend that you question people that teach you about God, Jesus or the Bible. There are not very many who really know what the Bible is all about.

I question, and compare with scripture. It doesn't make me too popular with the preacher. I have left the organizational "church"

My husband and I questioned our pastor and he did not appreciate it. My husband was a deacon at the time. We wound up leaving the church because the pastor was doing things with the money that we were not approving of and he was not willing to change.

Considering the fact that the Bible tells them not to think for themselves..(look not to thine own understanding), I'd say, a very small number, if any, actually ask questions....

I know for sure the more radical extremist ones don't.....
