ok..so my ICT teacher has this problem...its coursework...so he says when he connects his laptop to his projector , he sees all his music fine but its in a long list and he has to scroll through all of A then all of B and so on to get the song he wants...

he wants us to find a solution to this problem... I ve lookd everywhere and he mentioned a media streamer box, but when i searched for that i found tht it allows u to watch ur tv from wherever u are, like in another country..

Help!!!

Hope I understand your question correctly.

If he dumped all of his songs in a single folder instead of organizing them in subfolders by genre, artist, etc. then he will need some kind of organizing software.

Have you heard of id3 tags? They are already attached to CDs and mp3s. They hold a lot of data like artist, album name, genre, song titles, etc...

Windows Media Center, Media Player, Reel Player, practically all players for that matter, organize using these tags.

There are loads of tag editors on the Internet that will allow him to view (but not play) his music organized by any id3 tag category.
