You have every right to be an Atheist, just as others exercise their rights to have faith in God.

You can also be forgiven for not understanding one of the fundamentals of the Christian belief - that God made man in His own image and likeness. What fear you deduce from this should be of your own making. If you believe from the above that there is such likelihood of anger and wrath being bestowed upon you then you must ask yourself 'for what?'.

What you must absolutely be aware of is that sin in any form will always attract some form of retribution regardless of one being an atheist or a person of faith.

What we all must aim to do is live a good and honest life and be good to people - whether close or distant. If we live by such moral codes, we should fear neither anger nor wrath from the great Man Himself.

On a more reassuring note: God loves us all the same, whether Christian, Muslim or non-believer.

Do you mean How can he exhibit anger and wrath? You are an athiest you are unable to comprehend this. Stop asking questions you don't want the answer to. You will not feel anger and wrath. Since you have no beliefs you will not reap the rewards in the after life. Limbo was created just for people like you. eternity in the void. no heaven no hell only a great void nothingness emptiness

True, God is nothing like you or I, and for that you should be most grateful. If God was like us, by your rejection of Him, and more importantly, your rejection of Jesus as Savior, then you might well already be dead. The Bible does mention the fury of God in many places. What you choose to believe is your business, however I must bring a point to mind that is used fairly often. If God doesn't exist as I have heard Atheists believe to begin with, then I as a Christian will have lost nothing at all if this is indeed true. If it is not true, then you will have lost everything and will spend all eternity completely alone. Even if there is no Hell, which the Bible does say that there is, being banished from God, having no contact with anything, or anybody for all of future eternity would have to be a terrible existence in and of itself. Think about it, you find that you have been wrong all of your life, everything you have rejected is true, and you'll be very much aware of your existence and completely alone for ever. No parties, no revelry with others like yourself, just total blackness, and complete isolation. Are you really sure that you want to continue as an atheist?

If the wrath of god exists, then what did a stillborn child do to deserve being stillborn? What have millions of children around the world do to deserve being starved, killed by other means, murdered, etc etc What sort of god would allow those sorts of things to happen to innocent people? As it says in the bible "Time and chance happeneth to all". There is no invisible god looking out for you.

That's just it, isn't it?
The people that say that sort of thing are making God in their own image. They believe that God is exactly like them, and hates the same people they do. They ignore the "peace and love" parts of the bible, and focus on the parts they REALLY like: the parts where anyone different is tortured forever.

I see a few people saying, "If you don't believe, why do you care?"
First of all, it's called a "rhetorical question." Second of all, the nutjobs condemning people actually affect those people when they get in their face and hurl religiously-fuelled insults. Thirdly, I see lots of posts by Christians on Yahoo denouncing Muslims. If you don't believe in Islam, why do you care? It's the same way of thinking.

God loves you and if anything is waiting with open arms. He will place things around you to help get your heart ready to soften and accept him. When you're ready, you will believe, but until then - you are not going to feel the wrath of God, but you are going to miss out on great blessings you could have as a believer who follows the Will of God.

Gee whiz. Didn't that threat scare you as much as it did them? What could possibly be more scary that the wrath of god. Don't even ask what it means, just be scared and convert.

Actually, God supposedly made man in His own image.
But all that aside, the God I believe in is a loving God, not a Wrathful one. I don't know whom you are speaking to, but I feel sorry for them if they are so afraid of God.
My God wants every man to know that he can come to Him and be loved and forgiven and know peace.
I wish you could know my God. In the meantime, or for all time, just ignore those ignorant fools.

Man that sounds like mean God, no wonder you don't believe in him. But I think the only wrath and anger you'll experience is from the hypocritical followers that remind you from time to time. Just live your life, govern it how you want, and live pratically.
