It doesn't work. My camera is supposedly supposed to take MicroSD memory cards and I bought a SanDisk 1GB Memory card.

It fits in my camera and then prompts for me to format my card and then it says, Card Cannot Be Formatted. Replace Card Please.

UGH!!!

Does anyone know if this is normal?

Is this my camera or is this the wrong kind of memory card?

Also, does anyone know which freaking memory card to get?

As you can probably sense, I know nothing about this. =)

Thanks for all the help!

I just figured it out!

I didn't know that you had to put the MicroSD memory card INTO the MicroSD adaptor!!!!

YAY!!!!!

Sorry to have asked a question that only took me 5 seconds to figure out!

i bought my girlfriend a camera - printer combo last year and she has the same problem with the camera. she cannot find a memory card that works for it. she can take eight or so pictures, and has to load them into the computer and delete them before she can take more. it is an hp photosmart m425 camera. she believes that she may only use a hp memory card, which cannot be found in stores, apparently. i know i haven't helped, but i'll be keeping an eye on this question for resolution. we're not too happy about it either!

There is no such thing as a Cannon camera. However there is a manufacturer called Canon, they make nice cameras, however, my opinion is that there are better options out there: For DSLRs Nikon, Pentax, and Sony all make excellent cameras, and their entry level products are much nicer: the only difference is they don't have all the fancy marketing Canon has behind them. Canon is all about marketing, and that is what you pay for when you buy a Canon camera that is more expensive than the competetion For point and shoot, I suggest Panasonic, Sony, and Pentax. The Nikons and Canons have proved to be too fragile.

Try formatting the memory card in your computer if you have a mempry card reader. Then insert it back in to your camera and format it there again.
