I know I've made alot of Anxiety questions.. sorry. (:

i was curious to know if a bad sleeping schedule was a common cause for heavy anxiety? because my sleeping schedule has been really bad lately and i've been more anxious as well, especially when i wake up. it feels like i don't remember falling asleep and i get this scary feeling.

so if i start going to bed around 9 - 11PM every night would this help cure my heavy anxiety any more?

A bad sleep schedule could be part of the reason for high anxiety. Having a normal sleep routine could help reduce anxiety.

A regular sleep schedule can make a HUGE difference both mentally and physically. But getting to bed between 9 & 11 isn't regular enough. You need to decide on a specific time, say 10:00 - and then be really consistant about it. Only make plans that will allow you to be home in time to be lying in your bed prompty at 10:00 even if you aren't the least bit tired. You can read a book (sometimes a boring book is best) untill you fall asleep. What is important is that your body is lying down, not moving, at the same time every night (don't watch TV, it is too stimulating to your brain). Within 2 - 3 weeks you should notice a big difference. If not, see your doctor.

Yes, it is and I do suggest you go to sleep beginning 9-11 each night. You will feel so much better, I know I did.

If I understand you correctly you are taking your medications for BI-Polar. If so you have given some excellent tips on staying well. If you are not taking your meds and advocate other health resouces that you believe will help you they won't. Bi-Polar is a disease just like diabetes or heart disease and requires medication. There are no natural cures for heart disease or diabetes and the same for Bi-Polar. With the medications you have given excellent tips on helping your medications to keep you well and I applaud you.

not nessicarily a cause but it is a contributor...a regular sleep schedule will help regulate hormones and certainly relieve some stress...

Not sleeping can lead to many problems, not just emotional.
