I have a traffic court date on the 27th,do you think he'll be to busy to come?

A lot of things depend on this. What shift does he work, what are his days off, what is his vacation schedule, what was the ticket for? If you have the answers to some of these questions, you might stand a chance. Either that or get a continuance of the matter until you can answer some of these questions and go to court during his vacation.

Being State, he will probably be there. Highway Patrol is different than city cops. Same as trying to get out of a ticket. I have never seen a HP not give a ticket after stopping someone.

It depends. If it was a sting operations he'll be there because he wrote a million other tickets that day.

If it was an individual situation where you just got pulled over off the humble, you might have a chance at gliding through.

I think I had all of about 1 incident where the cop didn't show. But another guy got off on a DUI. I'm like WTF! This can't be fair!!
