Would this bother you?
Also, it bothers me when I am with my parents or grandparents and we have to sing "roun yon virgin." Does this make you uncomfortable?

You're associating the word 'virgin' with sex... but in reference to the virgin Mary, it's associated with purity and innocence. Nothing dirty or sexual about it. I can tell you that you're probably the only one who feels awkward about it... like when I was a kid the word "body" weirded me out because I thought of that as a sexual term, too.
It's a natural thing to do when you're young because you've not had the life experience to properly associate certain words in the correct context. Just remember that not everyone thinks the same way... most certainly not the adults.

Why would this make you uncomfortable? This is a proclimation of your faith. I am never uncomfortable when I sing that song or tell others about that part of my faith. Now, if your parents start telling stories about your birth (with photos), then I would draw then line!
Maybe it is time to examine your belief in your faith? Talk to your priest about it perhaps?

It doesn't make me uncomfortable... just think of it as a meaning for "pure" instead of associating it with sex. It has a broader meaning in this context... and is not specifically mentioning sex. It's all good. No worries.... ;-)

heck no its about a virgin birth now if i have a guy i am with that i have had sex with or if i am next to my sister we tend to giggle (me and my sister are open and we both know we are not virgins)
