It's a proven fact that they are superior to other breeds. Just wondering what the other thoughts are out there.

1-Here you go:
Personality
The boxer is the ultimate people dog. He is deliberate and wary with strangers but curious, and he will exhibit fearless courage if threatened. Boxers can adapt to nearly any environment, as long as they are with people.
Boxers are very intelligent and exceptionally patient with children. The breed enjoys training and learns easily. Some have worked as guide dogs as well as guard dogs.
Home and Family Relations
The boxer is a friendly breed, devoted to his family. His temperament is fundamentally playful, yet he is patient and stoical with children. He is tolerant of their antics and loves to play. He is a natural protector and, if trained, can be a good watch and guard dog.

2-hello, Yorkies are not dogs. They are nothing more than gerbils with dog traits. Please confine discussions to D-O-G-S.

3- hello, no- they are not dogs. They are furry, useless rats. Dogs can at least protect the house. What is a Yorkie going to do? Create a greasespot on the rug where they get stepped on?
In any case-from your profile- I think you are a dude.... and you have Yorkies??? YIKES.

Boxer are the best dog out there. I have a 17 week old brindle and he is the most beautiful boy I have ever seen. Everywhere we go he is the center of attention - even cat lovers fall in love with him!

Well, this is an opinion, and in my opinion American Pit Bull Terriers are by far the best dog breed there is. But Boxers are close. I like them because they have super cute faces, they are medium sized with short smooth fur. I LOVE their goofy personality. They just want to make their owners smile. They are loyal, and generally very friendly with Everybody and everything. I think my favorite thing about Boxers is the way they walk up to you with a wiggling butt, and their body all contorted sideways. That is just So cute.

For myself personally - I agree. This breed is by far the best one for me. But I can't say much for other people. Boxers know how to put the fun back in life. Though I do have to say, for many, they are an aquired taste. Just too much for some people.
On the mutt superiority comment - if you're going with the health opinion, you should really come work at my county pound with me. Ever had to put a mutt under two years old down because they already have bad hip dysplasia? How about for having a bad heart that's on it's way to failure? I have had to face such situations from "healthy mutts". "Hybrid health" is a complete crock. You ask people to prove their opinions. How 'bout you prove yours.

"It's a proven fact that they are superior to other breeds."
I just had to laugh at this, especially at the "proven fact" bit. Breed snobs need to get a reality check and realize that opinion does not = fact. I could easily say that the breeds I've owned are superior in every way to every other breed, but I might as well be saying that pancakes are the best food on the planet for how much of a *fact* that statement is.
The difference between fact and opinion is the key here!

My first dog was a boxer, Joey, and he was so small my father brought him home in his coat pocket. We had him for fourteen years. I loved him and used to sit down next to him and hug him when I was upset and cry and he knew and just sat there and comforted me. I live in a trailer now and don't have the space or a private yard so I have a Boston terrier who has a little boxer face and I love her more than anything in the world. My favorite dogs are boxers, Bostons, pugs and all bulldogs, French, English, etc.

You're wrong, of course....mutts are the best dogs on earth. Having said that, the main thing Boxers have going for them is that they ae absolutely incredible with kids. Very patient, very protective, very affectionate. When I used to dog-sit my mom's boxer, every 30 minutes all night until we went to bed he'd dutifully walk into their room, check on them, and then come back out and look at us as if to say "Yep, they're still fine. I'll check again in a little bit."
Also, boxers have that awesome "big dog" bark that will scare anyone away from your front door.
But...they tend to have a lot of health problems, as is true of most pure-bred dogs (hence mutt superiority).

I think they're a great breed, but I don't think they're superior to every other breed.
Anyone could say that their favorite breed is superior to the rest. Tell me, what makes boxers superior in your opinion? I'm curious! You say it is a proven fact, so let's hear some proof! =)

Are you vying for a first place in the most pompous dog owners by breed category as well? geez. Dial yourself down a few notches.
And, no it is definitely not a proven fact. Its great you love your dog but loosen up, your dog will probably be happier for it.

yep nothing to beat them for herding sheep. Oh they don't do that well ...
Finding birds ..... Opps another failure
Fastest thing on 4 legs .. not compared to the greyhound racers
Great lap snugglers- well a tad large...
Superior house pets - unless you want a lap snuggler, or a part time bird dog or........
PERFECT for YOUR home -DING DING DING we have a winner here!
Unfortunately not all homes want the same things - that's why there are well over 100 breeds in AKC (and many outside AKC) and every one has someone who thinks their breed Is the "most perfect thing under heaven" (Robert Burns referring to the Scottish Deerhound) and someone else who wouldn't HAVE one of those things if you gave it to them.

I don't believe boxers are superior to any other breeds....as a matter of fact, I like mongrels and mutts best! Crossbreeds and purebreds are full of health problems, but mutts aren't. They've been proven to be healthier than purebreds and crossbreeds. BTW, where's your PROOF that boxers are "superior to other breeds"? I had to laugh at that one.
