Sort of yes and no. This is the first Christmas I have had off since 2008, due to working night shifts. Christmas in my job can be very stressful. But I see Christmas as the overall period from mid December to early January, and it's about the atmosphere. I usually go to the theatre, have meals out, visit my brother, and just enjoy it. It's also the only time of year I eat cheese. It's not about presents as such, although I like the challenge of what to get people. So, more socks for Christmas? Brilliant, because they are useful and they certainly don't end up at car boot sales.

Of course she would feel bored. All though she had been abused, and of course thinking it was her fault which is normal for women that are abused. She has no one there with her. She goes to bed alone after having someone there. She needs to remember that she made the right choice and not to go back with him because she is bored.

Boredom is not a reason to go back into an abusive relationship. I know, I have been there before and always went back because I was bored and lonely. She needs not to make the same mistake I did. It passes. She needs to get out with friends and do something. Go away for awhile to get a clear head and to get away from him.

Good luck to her.

A break up is hard, especially if there are still feelings for that person, even if they were abusive. I have been there before, I felt lonely and sad. I knew I was better off without him, but the absence of him in my life left an empty pit in my heart. It took a few months for my heart to heal, then the feeling of happiness was abundant.

I think that whatever she feels is what she should feel, and her friends should respect it and support her through it.

These are her feelings. Don't grade them, be her friend.
