Yes, I think it is offensive that Christians have persecuted Jews for 2000 years, and then, when it suits them, have the gall to claim that they have "Judeo-Christian" values.

What so called "Christian" doctrine are you talking about? Thanks to the Protestant heresey in the 16th century, there are now over 40,000 different documented Protestant denominations, all with there own belief system that differs with each other.

But, your question is are Jews offended by Christian doctrine? When you say Christian doctrine I will take it that you mean the only true Christian doctrine that has been established since Christ's death and has lived on for 2000 years, and that is Catholic doctrine. That is a tough question to answer, since Jewish people are not a religion but an ethnic group of people, that would be like asking if Korean people are offended by true Christian doctrine -- and then I would say: It depends on the person in question, not the ethnicity of the people.

Discernment please!
The scriptures or the 'Bible' (They are not the same (many cases) in the USA presently)!!!
The Jews and the Christians both have the '2 or more witnesses' principle; however, in the USA presently that principle (witnesses Joshua, Nehemiah,Daviud, Solomon, Malachi, Jesus, Paul amongst others) is not widely practiced; the scriptural old testament is the law of Moses (synonym 'old testament 2 Cor. 3:13-14 KJV), not Genesis-Malachi (part 1; Joshua 1, 2 Tim. 3:16-17)!!!
The true 'Christians' presently are a 'growth' of the Jewish (religious) people currently to God's glory.

You are asking for a generalization and also making one of your own in the process.

The Jewish people that I have contact with are not offended by what they understand to be Christian doctrine. They are offended by people making generalizations about them and their beliefs without taking the time to discuss it with them personally.

Hope that helps.

I am Jewish. I am offended by their belief that if they accept Jesus as their savior, they will be forgiven for all their sins. I also can't stand their emphasis on forgiveness for people who do harm to others. However, in actual practice most so-called Christians are not that way. Most of them believe in capital punishment and would not forgive vicious murderers. So, their common sense wins out in those cases.

I don't care if they're offended or not by another doctrine. Why should they be?

Per capita, they're doing best in the sciences and medicine so I think the Christians have more to worry about than the Jews have to worry about the Christians.

While Christians want to hurl us back to the 14th century, Judaism is unafraid of new discoveries.

Some will be offended by the way that it is presented by some Christians and non-Christians.

None should be offended by the actual doctrine itself.

First, it's XIANS no T because X stands for Christ.

I would assume, however, that in all groups some are offended and some are not.
