I agree with majority - diamonds, baby! Make sure you know if she prefers white gold or yellow gold.... better yet, get diamonds with platinum! Anything from Tiffany's will suffice!
Try and surprise her that day by quietly whisking the children off to a friends house or your parents house for the day.
Start her day off with gorgeous breakfast in bed, followed by cuddles in bed (no naughty unless she initiates it! today is her day! by naughty, I mean sex)
Send her off to a day spa for the works - massage, manicure, pedicure, body scrub, facial, hot stones everything! Better yet send her there with her best friend so they can enjoy it together! She'd love that!
When she gets home (via the limo you sent for her with champagne chilling inside!) surprise her with an immaculately clean house!! laundry done, groceries done, mowing done, toys away, dishes done, new bedsheets everything! As a mum, that would be THE BEST!!!
Surprise her at the door with a trail of rose petals to the bedroom or other favorite place (do you have a beautiful garden?)
Maybe you could have the family over in the backyard for a birthday surprise party? decorated with paper lanterns, candles, and her favorite music and food!
Or surprise her upstairs in the bedroom with a erotic dance and rose petals on the bed (if she's into that, don't forget the candles!)
OR surprise her with a roast dinner already made and the children dressed in their finest clothes, ready for dinner (homework done!)
Then give her the diamond jewelry, flowers (mandatory, i'm sorry) maybe chocolates or a special desert and you've made her day........
(don't forget to organise presents from the children too - maybe something handmade they made at grandpa's???)

I know this is a late response, but I found this post searching for anniversary gifts for my husband. My husband gave me a sketch of my wedding dress on our wedding day, but this would be a great idea for an anniversary gift too!

Mate,if she is a mom of 2 little ones,a full day spa treatment is in order,that includes being picked up by a limo.
Or go to Victoria Secret and get her something sexy,they also have massage oils etc.
But if my mate was to get me something for our anniversary,I would want the first one,jewelry should of been given on christmas.
But if you want jewelry depends on what you want to spend,diamond earrings is always a good choice,diamonds are ALWAYS a good choice.

Let's see if I can set up a really neat scenario.
FIRST: 10th anniversary is tin/aluminum/diamond
If you wish to go =diamonds=, I'd buy a decorative pin with a diamond or two in it... something that you think will appeal to her... like I was given a turtle pin once...
THEN...
Tell her you're hiring a sitter and taking her to supper. Tell the sitter it's overnight...
1st gift - give it to her as she gets ready to get dressed for supper
if you have a quality store that sells sexy lingerie... buy her some really sexy underwear to wear on your anniversary night... UNDER her outfit and take her to supper... and it will excite you both to know what noone else can see... that she's wearing something really SEXY under her nice dress or outfit....
At supper you will give her the pin [2nd gift] and put it on her.
THEN
after supper(since you will have the kids with a baby sitter for the NIGHT)... you go to a nice hotel/motel and have a wonderful romantic evening... listening to romantic music on a CD, with a candle on the table in the room, and champagne or wine or Martinelli's sparkling cider if you don't drink to celebrate in private... and a single red rose ... or maybe one red rose for each family member... in a vase decorating the room....
This gives her not only the gift of jewelry, but also a really romantic and sexy night out... and even sexy mommy's don't get many nights out totally free of responsibility for the kids...
The jewelry... I mention a pin because I don't know your budget... and I think a pin might be less expensive... for my 10th... I was given a new wedding ring as we had never been able to afford a wedding ring when we married and his parents had provided the rings, even though they didn't approve of me...
If you wish to go =tin= or =aluminum= you pick according to her interests... something that matches her interests... like if she's a good cook, some good aluminum cookware...
I did the longest scenario for the diamond jewelry as you seem most interested in giving that to her for the anniversary... and the rest of the scenario I set up was due to your comment that she's a "mum of 2 but still sexy"... and I think that would really give you the most spectacular anniversary celebration.
You see, the jewelry doesn't have to be so expensive as to put you in debt... but the whole scenario is so romantic that I think it will give you the best celebration.

Tenth anniversary deserved an anniversary diamond ring to go with her wedding set. My husband got me a modest one (about 100 dollars), it's a chevron style with teeny diamonds, but looks beautiful with my other rings.
