which religion is the religion of nature.
if science is not taught.
someone become atheist because he or she thinks he is more powerful than the creator.
I said specially not atheist because one cannot be atheist unless he also taught by some external source..
the question is somewhat about Philosophy.
if someone spend life in jungle
how much will be chances for him to identify his creator?
as one can learn how to speak
than why can't it be possible that someone will identify his creator...or the purpose of his existance.

There are many possibilities.
the Child could become a Deist which believes that some being created the Universe with natural laws and then stepped back not ever intervening in the affairs of Humans.
The Child could believe in one or many God's. The Child would probably attribute everything to God or the Many God's and may even make associations like Poseidon is the God of the Seas etc. Basically, that the God or Gods take an active interest in the affiars of Humans.
Could be an Agnostic, pondering on maybe there could be a divine being or not.
Could be an Atheist, In other words the thought of God does not cross the childs mind. And doesn't believe that their is a supreme being at all.
This depends on the people the child is surronded by though. If the Child had no contact with other people, then I would bet that the child would follow one of the four ways previously mentioned.

That would be an interesting experiment if the child could grow in a neutral environment or in an evironment where all religions are taught and practiced.
But children do not grow up in a vacuum. What language would a child speak if s/he is not taught one? Most of the time children are influenced by their parents, friends or the community. Some find God, others don't. I think we truly have the freedom to choose our faith and that is important.

A newborn child is agnostic as they don't know anything. But the thing is that even if an adult doesn't 'indoctrinate' them into a religion, eventually they would start thinking about where they came from, and the purpose of their existence. If they weren't exposed to anything then maybe they would make up their own new religion, or if they studied science they would become an atheist probably.

I am a child like that: I was neither taught about the existance of gods, nor about the nonexistance. My parents and family simply didn't say anything.
I was certainly atheist (I did not believe gods existed), and later, when my cultural environment showed me that there's something else out there I was still an atheist.
As a conclusion I can only say that children who are not taught any religion are not religious and atheists, at least until they may think about it conciously (not before puberty) and decide differently.

The answer to this lies in the observation of all higher animals in comparison to humans. No other animals have a "designed in" faith belief. We are not just products of our environment as we are lead to believe.
The proof of this is when disciplining a 1-1/2 or 2 year old child. They no nothing of "religion" and cannot even communicate yet, but they sure know when they have done wrong! This is the moralistic design that God has placed in each one of us at conception. We are designed for good, not just for "survival of the fittest." In fact, we have this trait within us to take care of each other. Even strangers. No other animals do this. (Yes, there are monkey troupes and "family units" that care for each other, but this is for the benefit of the individual and it's a survival tactic)
This religion thing, our spirituality, makes us different than all other living things on the planet.
Why? God make us this way. We are made in His image and that image is love.

Whether you like it or not, every newborn is an atheist. Religion is a choice - which would explain why a lot of people don't belong to the same religion you do. Since religion is a choice, how could a newborn have any religion at all?

Children are born either MALE or FEMALE. I read the papers everyday and in the new births section I see where a girl is born to so and so and a boy to such and such. But thie religion is never mentiond
And I see in the obituary section where doctors die, florists die, even theologians die.
We are born male or female and we travel through this world and die as what we have chosen to become. And that includes our choice of religions. It is a choice, not a preordained destiny.

That word muslim in arabic means the one who submits his will to god, Hence every child when born is a muslim, Thats the reason when a non-muslim accepts islam he is not called a "convert" but the term used is a "revert"
