(Refering not to Christianity itself, but rather the group people)

PS. I am a Christian myself. I want to find out what non Christians (and Christians) find most offending about Christians. So that I can be a better Christian to others.

Hey!

Stereotyping is neither attractive nor kind. So, please refrain. Labeling people is just wrong.

Also, what 'group of people' are you talking about? I know lots of people who say they're Christians. Some say they're Christians, but refute it by their actions. Others act like Christians, but do not look beyond what they hear another human say, and think for themselves. And still others try to discern as much as possible about God and what he wants from them.

As to what is the biggest problem with Christians, the answer is simple: The same problem that is the largest in everyone else. They are imperfect and do things wrong on occasion. In fact, every person on this planet makes around five thousand (give or take) mistakes a DAY. So, yeah, Christians say and do things they shouldn't because they are only HUMAN, just like you.

This question is borderline prejudice, and you should work on your viewpoint. People are just people, they should never be defined by religion, race, sex, or appearance. Every person on this planet has one thing in common: We're all messed up. We make mistakes, we do bad things, and we hurt other people on a regular basis.

Anyway, that's my viewpoint. You were obviously trying to get a big pat on the back from a bunch of other non-Christians, but they are being just as judgmental as you.

And isn't that ironic, since that's your biggest complaint about Christians.

Luv ya,
Tashi :)

P.S. I'm sorry if that's mean, insulting, and antagonistic. But I really found this question insulting. You should have just asked what is the biggest problem with mankind. The answer is the same, you don't hurt anyone else's feelings (say...mine, for example), and you don't label and/or stereotype.

O-K Fellow Christian, I think the absolute dumbest and most offensive thing we do is fight amongst ourselves.

You could not imagine my shock when Mike Huckabee appeared on Kenneth Copeland's show. Non-believers think They get picked on? Try identifying yourself as Word Of Faith around a Baptist. Tar and feathers IF you're lucky.

This isn't exactly new. Remember the line from A River Runs Through It? The Presbyterian minister reflects that Methodists are simply Baptists who can read.

Dumb, dumb, dumb.

99% of them don't have THE LOVE, they claim they do but they don't really KNOW Him at all, if they did yes you would "see" the patience and kindness and mercy and forgiveness and tolerance, when you LOVE someone you HELP them to see through your own personal relationship with Jesus Christ our Saviour by example of what needs to be changed in each of our lives.

Too many just "judge" peoples indiscrimently without really "listening" from their hearts and more importantly from the Heart of our Father God, if more people would take just two prayers to "heart" hehe. we WILL SEE the life changing dynamic world impacting manifested instant problem solving solutions this world is hungry and dying for happen every second of the day 24/7.

and those two prayers are I feel that if only people would take Amy Grant's Song - "My Father's Eyes" and take that as a personal confession prayer for their own lives. to SEEE into the soul of the human being and then KNOW how GOD wants them to be treated and THEN that person WILL respond positively to you, when they KNOW that you LOVE Them unconditionally regardless of what present state of life they themselves are living in at the moment. you don't have to accept what they do, you DO have to love the real person underneath that the FATHER KNOWS IS THERE

and two make Ephesians 4:29 [in fact take that whole great book for a good guideline especially Eph 1: 16 end of chapter hehe] as your heart line to say to people NO corrut communication will ever proceed out of your mouth and that includes "judging" and condemning and arrogance, and I'm better than you attitude, but when as a humble servant WE seek to wash their feet so to speak THAT SPEAKS louder that all man's witnessing techniques ever. when they can see and know that WE really do LOVE them and actually genuinely care for "their" well being without trying to force our beliefs down their throats, THEN the Miracles they need, whether it's the New Birth, healing, finances, broken homes, deliverances, when they see HIM truly living in and through us, THEN THEY WILL COME hehe lol kay

Trying to convert people. Trying to remove the wall of separation between church and state. Trying to teach phoney science called creationism and ID.

From what I see in here many of them seem to be extremely concrete thinkers. They seem unable to understand things except extremely literally. Not all of them but quite a few of them, they seem to think at only the most basic level.

MYSTICISM
and it's effects.
* lack of personal leadership seeking outside supernatural guides to dictate their decisions and affect their moral decisions.
* irrational beliefs that stunts progress in science.
* creates unnecessary activities - such as Sunday rituals when those weekend days could have been used to relax or recreation.
* creates guilt in millions of it's followers. A true Christian that follows all Christian rules has imposed on himself/herself a myriad of rules to follow in order to be free of guilt mostly in exchange of personal happiness - irrational sacrifices.

The never ending threatening proseletyzation. "Join us or you're going to burn in hell! We're the Only Way There Is!"

Sometimes they remind me of Moonies selling flowers at the airport.
