This link tells me that chicken bones are okay for them to gnaw on. So, would the bones off of some Dominos hot wings be good for them (after removing the sauce and meat personally :x) to have?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with giving rats chicken bones, or any other type of bone for that matter.

People continue to confuse the issue of chicken/meat bones when it comes to rats because of the dangers that dogs and cats face when they get ahold of these meaty morsals.

Rats are gnawers and as such they gnaw on the bones taking in sawdust-like particles of bone. They do not crush and splinter bones like the carnivores do.

Bones are a good source of calcium and protein for rats. Bones give the rats something to do in the same way as any ratty toy would.

Yep, I in many situations purchase uncooked bones from a butcher, cook dinner them, and supply the cooked bones to my rats. They take excitement in gnawing on it and that they are in a place to't splinter and choke on a cooked bone like a canines can. It needs to be tossed after a at the same time as, nonetheless. sturdy success. :)

Rats in the wild eat bones and antlers in the wild all the time, especially in the winter when food is difficult to come by.

Fancy rats aren't too much different genetically, besides health, temperment and color.

Where as dogs have changed considerably from their wild canine roots and cannot have chicken bones (it'll rupture their insides), but wolves and wild canines can.

I wouldn't, if I were you.
As they are practically hollow, a splinter could get stuck in your rat's throat, causing suffocation. However, maybe a cow bone or something of the sort would be better.

I'm sure this would be fine.
Rats are made to gnaw; they are not going to have any trouble with splinters.
